There were 16 players from the San Francisco 49ers on hand today as "Camp Hoyer" got underway at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The three-day session was organized, and is being led, by quarterback Brian Hoyer, who will be the presumptive starter when the 2017 season kicks off in September.
Below is a list of the 49ers players in attendance for Day One of the session, per the Sacramento Bee.
Quarterbacks
Brian Hoyer Matt Barkley C.J. Beathard Nick Mullens
Wide Receivers
Victor Bolden Kendrick Bourne DeAndre Carter Marquise Goodwin Jeremy Kerley Aldrick Robinson DeAndre Smelter Trent Taylor
"Yeah, we're going to get together and do a little thing, I think," Hoyer said in June while speaking to Bay Area media. "It is such a long period of time that you want to get together at least for some period. We're aiming for right in the middle of when we leave and when we come back. We'll get as many guys together as we can. You can't accommodate everybody because people are going all across the country."
The session was set up by Hoyer to allow the offense to get in some more work prior to training camp than the current Collective Bargaining Agreement will allow.
