The San Francisco 49ers have now won three of their last four games and are looking to end the 2017 season strong. Sunday's 26-16 road victory over the Houston Texans capped off the first back-to-back wins for the 49ers in a season since November of 2014.

Armed with a new franchise quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo, fans are excited about the future and so are players, who had probably become accustomed to loss after loss.

Below is a Snapchat post (via Twitter) by Adrian Colbert as he seeks out Garoppolo following the game and calls him "Franchise," which may be an appropriate nickname.

Below are some other social media posts by players (and one by general manager John Lynch) following the 49ers' third win of the season.

A number of players seemed appreciative of the contingent of Niner Faithful who showed up at NRG Stadium to watch the 49ers.

"It was loud out there," Gaoppolo said after the game. "There were a couple of 49er chants that you heard. This really being the first time I've seen that, it's impressive how well they travel. That just gives us that much more energy on the sideline."

Sometimes it comes down to who wants it more. Great win today, Niners!

Kyle Shanahan downplays concern over 49ers' rest disadvantage in 2024

By David Bonilla
May 22

Following the release of the 2024 NFL schedule, much attention was drawn to the San Francisco 49ers' rest differential of minus-22, once again the worst in the NFL. Rest differential measures the difference in rest days between games for a team and the rest days of each of its opponents throughout the season. ESPN's Brian Burke highlighted the 49ers' rest differential for the upcoming season, noting it as one of the three worst since 2002, alongside the 2012 Philadelphia Eagles and the 2005 San Diego Chargers. Rest difference vs opponents. Tough scene for SF.

Rayshawn Jenkins reveals why he chose the Seahawks over the 49ers

By David Bonilla
May 24

The San Francisco 49ers were interested in signing a safety in free agency and targeted Rayshawn Jenkins, a former Jacksonville Jaguars player. Jenkins visited the Seattle Seahawks before heading to the Bay Area to meet with the 49ers. "Then I had two more visits set up, but Seattle called, made an offer," Jenkins shared with reporters this week. He revealed that the 49ers offered to match the deal, but Jenkins opted to accept the Seahawks' offer instead. "I wanted to go to a contender," Jenkins explained. "I wanted to go to a bigger market (than Jacksonville). I felt like Seattle was the perfect place. Plenty of opportunity. I'm going into a team with a head coach that's defensive-minded." 49ers LB Fred Warner: Super Bowl win not a matter of 'if' but 'when'

By David Bonilla
May 22

Fred Warner is confident that his moment will come. He believes the San Francisco 49ers remain one of the best teams in the NFL, and it's only a matter of time before they hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It's been over three months since Warner and his teammates experienced the heartbreak of the overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. Speaking to NFL Network's Steve Wyche and Judy Battista, the star linebacker admits he isn't quite over that loss. In fact, he isn't even over the Super Bowl defeat he suffered four years ago. "Those things stay with you," Warner said. "In this league, you earn scars. Throughout the league, you face adversity. Losing the Super Bowl, of course, is as big of an adversity that you can hit, and it stays with you

Analyst declares 49ers the 'best team in football, and it's not even close'

By David Bonilla
May 16

The Kansas City Chiefs might have clinched back-to-back Super Bowl victories, including February's overtime triumph over the San Francisco 49ers, but one NFL analyst won't declare Andy Reid's squad the best in the league heading into a new season. That distinction goes to the Super Bowl runner-up. The NFL unveiled its complete 2024 schedule on Wednesday. When asked which Super Bowl participant has the best chance of returning to the big game in the upcoming season, Fox Sports analyst Craig Carton didn't hesitate to respond, "San Francisco." "They're the best team in football, and it's not even close," he continued. "They're the best team, not just in football, they're the best team in the NFC. There's three or four teams that are obviously going to give them a
