Bradley Pinion's time with the San Francisco 49ers has come to an end. The punter plans to sign a four-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a report from Dan Graziano of ESPN.

Just minutes before Graziano reported the news, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Buccaneers released their punter, Bryan Anger. The move made room for Pinion to join Tampa Bay.

The 49ers made Pinion a fifth-round draft pick out of Clemson in 2015. He averaged 43.7 yards and 39.1 net yards on 68 punts in 2018. 22 of Pinions punts landed inside the 20-yard line.

Pinion was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week this past season after a three-punt, 164-net-yards performance during Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders. The game included his season-long 64-yard punt.

Pro Football Focus senior analyst John Kosko recently scrutinized every NFL team, pinpointing which roster possesses the best group at each position. The 49ers were spotlighted by two position groups on the list, with Kosko asserting that the Bay Area team boasts the best tight end and linebacker groups in the NFL. One might wonder if the team's wide receiver group, consisting of Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings, and now rookie Ricky Pearsall, made the list. However, that

Tim Kawakami fielded questions from fans in a recent mailbag for The Athletic. One curious fan wondered what a new contract for Brock Purdy might look like and if the San Francisco 49ers quarterback might aim to become the NFL's highest-paid player. Of course, the term "highest-paid" is subjective. It typically refers to the player with the highest average salary per year. However, long-term deals can be more complex. They often start with low salaries to save the team salary-cap space early in the contract and then increase over time. Additionally, some later years may not be guaranteed, as teams can include exit points or restructure

The Athletic's Tim Kawakami recently fielded questions from fans regarding the San Francisco 49ers. One of the hot topics surrounding the team resolves around the future of wide receiver Deebo Samuel, currently under contract through the 2025 season. However, a lot signals that his time in red and gold may end earlier than that. Brandon Aiyuk has emerged as the 49ers' top receiving target, leading the team with 1,342 receiving yards and surpassing 1,000 yards for the second consecutive season. San Francisco is actively negotiating a contract extension to secure Aiyuk's presence on the team for the foreseeable future. "I've communicated
