Forum Rules

While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

General Posting Parameters

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, violent, gruesome, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, racist, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed).

Use common sense. Don't intentionally irritate people, don't retaliate and if you have a gut feeling that you should not be saying something, don't. "He started it" and "I didn't know that was a rule" will not get your warning level reduced.

Personal Attacks

Personal attacks of ANY kind are prohibited. Personal attacks do not have to include swear words, they just have to be an attack on a person rather than their idea. Posters that only serve to incite others and serve no other purpose but to inflame tensions may be banned. Simply having a dissenting opinion on an issue, as long as that opinion is expressed in a tactful manner, is not a warnable offense. Phrases that intend to attack a member while doing it by attacking another person may also result in a warning (e.g. "your mom").

If you or any forum user is personally attacked, report it to a moderator via the Contact Moderator feature within the forum. You agree not to reply to an attack with another attack. If you do not agree with the comments or opinions of a user, attacking that user will result in a warning or ban depending of the severity of the attack.

Do not respond to trolls. This only motivates them to post again. If an issue gets out of hand and you are a participant, you may be warned or banned as a result.

Picture Policy

Please do not post pictures edited pictures of people without their permission. Posting edited pictures falls under the personal attack category and will be warned accordingly. If the person gives the permission, though, then posting edited pics is okay as long as they are not pornographic or gruesome.

You may not post any pornographic pictures. "Maxim style" pictures are acceptable.

Offensive Language

You agree not to use offensive language. This can include swear or curse words. The board does have swear filter and this should catch most offenses. Any attempt to bypass the forum's swear filter will result in a warning. Excessive swearing, or posting pictures with un-edited swear words can result in a warning. Moreover, telling a poster to "STFU" is also a warnable offense.

Posting

Spamming of the forum is strictly prohibited. Each site defines spamming a little differently. At 49erswebzone.com spam includes, but is not limited to; posting multiple threads on the same topic, repeated unsolicited advertisements, posting threads or posts that are not topical and only serve to clutter the board. Flooding the forum is prohibited and may result in you being immediately and permanently banned. This includes, but is not limited to; a blatant shift in topic, repeating the same post over and over or repeating the same thread over and over.

The posting of misleading topics that present false or misleading information is strictly prohibited and will result in a warning. The posting of a true topic that is meant to lead the users of the forum to believe something else falls into the category.

During games and other important events, there will be an official thread where users who do not feel like entering the chat can still post. The thread is for all topics related to the event for which the thread exists. Please do not start new threads that are just comments as they will be deleted and the user warned. Analysis, though, can be in it's own thread.

Each forum has a specific topic of discussion set by the site administrator. Posting outside of this topic is prohibited. If you are not sure where you should post a specific topic, contact a moderator for assistance.

Pay-Site Material

Posting of copyrighted material such as, but not limited to, complete articles from commercial pay sites or personal sites is strictly prohibited. Instead, you must link to or summarize the articles. We have the right to delete any posts that contain such copyrighted material.

Warning System

Moderators have the right to issue warnings or ban users as they see fit. There are general guidelines for warnings but warning is ultimately at the discretion of the warning Moderator. Once a user reached 100% they are banned from using the forum.

Warning levels automatically reduce 10% every 30 days as long as the poster is not warned again.

If you want to report a post that you feel may violate any existing rules, include the URL or a link to the post in question. If the moderators cannot locate a post, then they cannot do anything about it.

If at any point you take issue with a particular warning, or with a particular policy please feel free to contact the moderator staff via email ([email protected]) or via PM. If you have an issue with a particular moderator or feel your issue needs to be escalated, please contact Oscar ([email protected]). Continually posting complaints with the staff and/or the moderation of the site on the forum may result in a warning.

Do not post complaints on the forum itself. If you want to report a post that you feel may violate any existing rules, include the URL or a link to the post in question. If the moderators cannot locate a post, then they cannot do anything about them.

If your account is accessed in any way by a banned member, we reserve the right to ban your account as well.

High Maintenance Clause

Any member who occupies a majority of admin or moderator time unnecessarily will be shown the door.

If you agree to these terms, you state that you are over the age of 13. We do not allow children under 13 to register so we do not have parental forms available.
