True, can't really hate on preseason rankings. If we have a better record than Dallas going into week 6 and they are 15 spots higher than us in the power rankings then I'll call them out for BS.

I love the preseason optimism, and it's fun seeing our young players do some good things, but 31 is fair at this point.

After the last couple seasons, we are going to have to earn a higher ranking on the field, and I think we will.

I don't have an issue with this. I'd argue that we were the WORST team in the league last year even if the record didn't show it.

So being second worst before the year starts is fine with me. I don't see us winning too many games this year but I expect us to show much more on the field even if the final score doesn't have us pulling out the W.

Last year was straight embarrassing. Need to prove it's not going to be more of the same even if it looks very different to us and on paper.

It's always good to be under appreciated , but this is obviously based on last yrs "body of work"....if you could even call it that. Ergo, this stat, right now means....SQUAT. Nada. Nothing. It is a mere reminder of what a miserable excuse this team was last yr. ....means nothing more than that, and there, i would argue we were over rated.

One thing I was hoping for under Shanahan and Lynch was consistency. So far we're off to a good start.
