Like other San Francisco 49ers players, safety Jimmie Ward is probably getting tired of being asked about the future of his team's quarterback. One more couldn't do any more harm, right?

Ward is confused by the doubt in the team's franchise quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo. It's not even the offseason yet, and the media is already trying to figure out who replaces Garoppolo next year and is seemingly dismissing the possibility that he returns.

Ward joined 95.7 The Game on Friday morning and was asked how he responds to anyone who asks if Garoppolo is the guy in San Francisco.

"I tell them I played against Jimmy in college, and I've got faith in Jimmy," Ward said on The Morning Roast. "I'm like, Jimmy, this year, Jimmy's been battling injuries, which everybody on this team has been battling injuries. So, it's been a lot of moving parts, and it's going to be a lot more moving parts at the end of the season.

"I just saw some of what Richard Sherman said, how many free agents we've got, and obviously we know the cap goes down.

"I feel like Jimmy, I feel like he's doing good this year. He's the quarterback, and he's getting paid a lot of money. … He just got us to the Super Bowl last year, so of course he's going to have a lot of pressure on him."

Ward noted that quarterback Jared Goff experienced some of that same pressure after the Los Angeles Rams went to Super Bowl LIII, and then missed the playoffs the next season.

Added Ward: "I've got faith in [Garoppolo], man. I feel like when he comes back, he's going to get the job done."

You can listen to the entire conversation with Ward below.
