Did you think you might get a glimpse of quarterback Brock Purdy with the San Francisco 49ers starters during Sunday's preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders?
Don't get your hopes up.
"I doubt Brock plays," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters after Monday's practice. However, he noted, "We haven't fully decided it yet."

The coach added that the plan is to have Purdy practice in the joint sessions with the Raiders on Thursday and Friday. Those practices will take place in Nevada.
Earlier today, NFL Network's Steve Mariucci asked Shanahan if he was confident that Purdy would be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.
"He's ready now," Shanahan responded.
So why not give Purdy a few in-game reps on Sunday?
"Usually, when we go scrimmage against guys, I rarely play our starters (in the game)," Shanahan said. "That's usually my plan going into it because I'm a little more into the practices than the games. But I've changed my mind a couple of times, too, based off how those practices go. Usually, that's the plan, but we'll see how these practices go."
Purdy had surgery on March 10 to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow. Surprisingly, he was cleared to practice two weeks ago at the start of training camp. We'll see if the second-year quarterback gets any reps in the preseason or if Shanahan prefers to hold him out until Week 1.
"I think it's always good to play [in preseason]," Shanahan said. "I don't think he has to. A lot of guys don't have to, but it usually helps."
