The San Francisco 49ers appear to have emerged from Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles in relatively good health. However, they were not entirely unscathed. Head coach Kyle Shanahan, speaking to reporters after the dominant 42-19 win, provided injury updates.
"[DT Arik] Armstead had a foot, didn't return," Shanahan said. "[TE Ross] Dwelley had ankle, didn't return."
After practicing just once last week, the defensive tackle entered Week 13 listed as "questionable" for the clash against the Eagles. However, he was not among the 49ers' seven inactive players and started the game.
"Yeah, he had to gut it out," Shanahan said. "I think he went out in the second half. He was in and out throughout the game, but I wasn't told he was officially out and done, I want to say early in the fourth quarter."
After the second snap of the game, Armstead was noticeably uncomfortable. However, it sounds like the defensive tackle should be fine.
"Wasn't feeling too great, but I think it was important for me to be out there and help my team," Armstead said. "I'll get some treatment and be fine."
As for Dwelley, we will likely learn more about his status on Monday.
