Wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan is working with 10 guys on the field. None of them are rookie Michael Crabtree, who is still a hold out while trying to negotiate a contract with the 49ers.
Apparently camp is getting physical (with an "F"?) as the team started with 6 stations on the field and are performing one on ones.
After celebrating beating linebacker Parys Haralson, Vernon Davis was then locked up pretty good in the next session.

According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, the 49ers opened training camp with a sprint.
Missing from camp are wide receiver Michael Crabtree and fullback Moran Norris.
Adam Snyder, not Marvel Smith, is lined up at right tackle.
Barrows reports that the 49ers started with 7 stations on the field and are performing one on ones. Neither quarterbacks nor kickers are participating.

9:44 am: According to 49ersRednGold, the first thing that the quarterbacks did during practice was take snaps from center, practice audibling and work on footwork drills after stretches. "Back to basics."
It got real physical over in the tight end/offensive line versus defensive line/linebackers blocking drills. "You can hear the helmets crack."
MadDog49er reports, "Fans expecting to see a lot today will be disappointed. Lots of basic stuff."
9:46 am: A quote from Matt Barrow's Twitter says, "Your starting qb for practice no. 1? Shaun hill."
9:58 am: Updates from Matt Maiocco's Twitter report that Patrick Willis and Michael Robinson were evenly matched in one on ones.
While Shaun Hill finished with a pass down the field to Vernon Davis, Alex Smith's first pass, which resulted in an incompletion, drew boos from fans in the stands. He then completed his next tree passes and received some cheers.
10:46 am: Practice ended with rookie quarterback Nate Davis being intercepted by rookie safety Curtis Taylor.
11:12 am: According to Matt Maiocco, linebacker Parys Haralson sat out end of practice with right hip flexor strain.
11:14 am: Both Maiocco and Barrows are reporting that Ricky Jean-Francois reported with staph infection.
