Possible DE to go after

Wait a sec, Clay Mathews had 8 sacks last year?

On the rams WITH limited time. I believe he didn't play a full season
Tim Williams could be someone to take a flyer on was a 3rd round pick a few years back even if it's a practice squad signing to develop

Yup, guess we're too cool to look at him

Ryan Kerrigan is more of a legitimate target for us. But I doubt it.
Assuming we aren't cutting Ford next year bc of his restructuring this year we will have
Bosa
Ford
AA
Blair
Hyder

So I'm not sure he can start at all but it may not be worth it for a rotational piece (in draft capital or $)

I thought it was just two. Who's the third guy that went down after Bosa and Solly?

Maybe they are counting Dee Ford. DJ Jones I think got injured in that game also.

If the WFT starts 1-4 and we start 4-1 we should make an offer.

It'd be very hard cap wise, we just gave, apparently, $3M to Ansah, and Kerrigan makes $11.5M, so after 5 weeks, that would be $8,823,530 in cap room, they really don't have it, right now, if the $3M is right, they only have $7.313M, and still need money to pay back per game roster bonuses, and for in season emergencies, PS promotions(as those guys who get activated for a game make a prorated amount of their would be minimum salary), so it adds up.

Thanks for the insight. Wonder if there is potential to reconfigure other current contracts to make it work.

What about Michael Bennet?

I like Wake and Bennett...

Bennett can take over Solo and Kinlaw and the rest of the young guys can learn from him too..

Wake, those old ALL PROs, they still have things to prove and our MONEY HUNGRY ...

Bennett retired

IS MARIO WILLIAMS AVAILABLE ??

The only player they could restructure is Jimmy, but not sure they want to do that this year or next year. No other players really are an option unless they reached an extension with someone like Sherm, Trent, Juice, or Tartt.

He probably wants too much money, they're down to around $7.313M in cap room.

Bosa gone for the yr, Ford has back issues and has no timetable when he will return, Blair is out 6 weeks and who knows how he will be coming off the ACL.

They got snaps to give at edge

I should've clarified what I meant. If we trade for him what are we going to do next year? We have those DE's. There's a log jam so we may be getting rid of one or two of them? He he rotate behind Bosa and AA and Ford? Even if we release Ford we still have two starting DE's.

Like I said before it would not be worth the money or the draft capital to acquire him unless we were sure we're getting rid of at least one starting end. If this guy took a lot less money and knew that he would rotate in I would be down for it if we only had to give up a fourth round pick or worse

Yeah he is owed a lot. Would be tough to pull off. Not really worth it.
