Should we take a flier and see if he can be here for the future? Not sure he would take a vet min though which is all we could likely offer

Only if he clears waivers and accepts a vet min deal. Otherwise, pass.

Yup, either he isn't going to clear waivers or he's going to Seattle

Kinda feel bad for this guy.
This is from just a week ago:
This is from just a week ago:
Amid reports that the Falcons are discussing trading McKinley, he wrote on Twitter today that he's been assured he's staying in Atlanta.
"The Atlanta Falcons aren't trading me. They have declined a handful of offers," McKinley wrote.

Didn't he get all emotional when he was drafted? Wasnt it kinda awkward when they interviewed him on stage.
That's the only thing I can remember. Surely he is better than Dion Jordan.

Seattle would be stupid not to take him off waivers.. if he does hit free agency we should sign him and see how he plays this year.. we could have Ford's replacement for years to come.. he is young and has 17.5 sacks in 4 years so he's not a scrub.. across bosa he can get a lot more

I'm all for testing out any edge we can get our hands on.
We know Bosa is elite, even if we get 2-3 who can rotate and produce on the other side, it makes Ford all the more expendable.

Why would you not put in a waiver claim? If he manages to finish the season with a few sacks then he will be a free agent and get signed. Then won't that factor into the comp pick equation? Seems like a no brainer for teams even if he is a bit wacky.

We know Bosa "was" elite. We still have to see how and if he comes back from his serious leg injury.

Wouldn't we have first priority. Seems like drama. One thing shanahan can't stand.
