I'm a big fan of chase, sure that's always true with any prospects. I don't expect him to be there.

Imo if Q ends up being the pick we might as well punt on edge (again). This draft is top heavy on edge but fizzles out after the top 20.

That's a ridiculous statement, there are guys who might add some edge rush, not just Winovich but Omenihu, Christian Miller, Polite (yes a risk) Collier, Jelks.

Besides, draft position depth is nowhere near as important as getting the right player.

If you have players graded the same you can worry about that stuff, I personally and I know you do as well, have Bosa graded up there with Quinnen, so yes you weigh up everything from our roster strength, to position value to draft depth and you take Bosa.

What happens if he's gone? Do you take a lower graded player? I wouldn't.

If you believe Bleacher Report, this is who the Raiders want.

Could they be cucked by the 49ers for the 2nd straight draft?

We can't go wrong with QW, Bosa or Allen...if snagging QW means we get to cuck Chucky/Raiders, that will be nice
Starting to be convinced after vids like this: Why Quinnen Williams is the best DT prospect since Aaron Donald

Worked last draft.

Having a line with buck, qw & ford is pretty damn good. Getting pressure up the middle is more valuable than off the edge tbh
I disagree. If the pass rush is not coming from both sides, the QB can move the pocket away from the side of the better pass rusher (Ford).
Defo trade seeds are slowly gettin planted let's get fan base conditioned nice and easy long way to go but we can make it happen good job lynch

First off I'm not saying don't take QW, I'm saying outside of the 1st rd, imo, there's a ignificant drop off talent wise at edge. That's the issue with taking a guy at 2 overall that's not a massive need, you sacrifice filling that need with lesser talent.

If we're doing this bpa thing (which we would be with picking Q), I don't think guys like Omenihu & Christian Miller will be that when we're picking.... Sure it's a guess as to where they go at this pt, but it seems like the real value for other positions like WR/DB/OL are in that early day 2 pick, not at edge.

The guys you mentioned imo seem like more depth/developmental prospects than guys that will be starting opposite Ford. I'd much rather get a higher graded WR/DB with that 36th pick.

I'm just applying the philosophy as to why we'd be drafting QW

Disagree on his motor...in the Georgia, Oklahoma, Clemson games in he 2nd half that motor wasn't close to what it was in the 1st half (when he was dominant) His pad level gets a little high as the game goes on.

He's still 1A in this draft. Imo he's not Donald, but still really damn good.

But then you are forcing the QB to move laterally, something that not all of them like to do. They'd far rather step up into the pocket and throw from there.

You have him @ 1A or 1B??

And those 2 plays outlined were very heady. Also,...his size and abilities can supposedly allow him to play all across the LOS. I know you don't value versatility much,....but DCs with their scheme variations drool at the mouth over it.

1A and Bosa is 1B, I'm not gonna hate on Q he's a monster. I watched the Georgia & Oklahoma games lastnight. Yes I don't have all22, but you can see how his motor goes down significantly in the 2nd half of those games. Gotta work on pad level but I'm not really worried about it, he's just a pup in his first yr as a DT.

I'll be more than happy to get him if Bosa is gone.

How do you figure I don't value versatility? That's a weird comment.

You don't value it much. Not weird at all when you've replied for ages "who cares" if a player can play as a SAM as well....we need a "pure" edge that is X in base and Y in pass rush situations.

If you think like a DC,...you think about the multitude of ways you can disguise what you're doing and move players around,...even in base. This is what players like QW and Allen supposedly will bring to their teams.
