Absolutely, I don't think the teams are anywhere near as conflicted as the fans though. Pass rush is pass rush, through the edge or interior it doesn't matter, fans will catch on.

What's fair compensation for Buckner? Giants won't give up #6 straight up. If they did you would be happy with QW at 2 and Bosa at 6?

I'd rather get #17 and a 2020 2nd, upgrade 3T big time on the cheap with QW and basically swapping Buckner for Murphy/Risner + Ford

well if they can't get a deal done with Robbie, and they cheap out with Buckner, its better to trade him sooner than later.

Next year, they have to be prepared to give him a bigger contract than Aaron Donald. He will probably match his sacks from last year as the floor.

I wouldn't put it past this front office to be cheap. Could also just keep franchise tagging him until you let him go.

also. If we traded Buckner for the Giants #6. I'd pick Bosa at #2, and Ed Oliver at #6 to be honest.

You say you would give away Buckner still on a cheap contract for a mid first and a 2020 2nd? Now I know you are just trolling on this.

Even if they wanted to trade Buckner this would be a terrible year to do it. With all the DL talent in this draft you would never get value back.

This is a great point and likely the reason it wouldn't happen before the draft.

No reason for lynch to make it known to the world that Buckner came up in trade talks for obj though unless he was curious about potential suitors leading up to the draft.

If nyg, who needs help on interior takes a qb or another position early, then Oliver/Wilkins gets snatched before they pick at 17, or the same thing happens to Detroit or Atlanta who also have a need there, now all the sudden it makes sense for all parties involved.
