I know it's not feasible but I wish we had like 3 - 2nd round picks.

31 and 32 is the prime trade back spot too because of that 5th year option.
True but we also could really use that 5th year option. The longer we can keep players on rookie deals the better it is for our cap space, especially once Purdy gets paid.
How many players have we declined that 5th year option? Kinlaw, McGlinchy, Thomas...Bosa and potentially hopefully soon to be Aiyuk got extended before that option
Trade up for Fautanu in the 1rst, plays RT immediately but future LT

Trade up for Suamataia in the 2nd, plays RG immediately but future RT
Niners Wire just posted a mock where Fuaga fell to pick #24 with the Cowboys and the Niners were able to trade up with their 1st rounder, a 4th rounder and a 6th rounder. I guess it's good to dream big, but don't see this happening. Cowboys need offensive linemen almost as much or more than the Niners. Then again, crazier things have happened on draft day.

I see the Cowboys liking Frazier. I think if Fuaga falls that far they take him asap, but if the top tackles are gone and Guyton/Morgan feel like a reach, they could look to move back. Makes for a tough trade partner with us though. We'd have to be moving up for CB/DL/WR though, which I dont see happening.
Trade Back would be awesome. And then trade up back into 2nd. Hardly any drop off at the end of the 1st through middle 2nd. Imagine a team will want to trade up into the 1st for that 5th year option, particularly for a QB.

Good call. Cowboys lost Biadasz at center in free agency along with Tyron Smith. They have a history of taking centers early and Frazier is a top 3 prospect at that position (along with JPJ and Graham Barton). If Niners trade back into the early second, I wouldn't go down more than 10 picks and take Suamataia or Morgan at that point. Guyton more likely will end up with the Cowboys if they go OT.
just watched this Kimes/ Sims mock draft:

if Bowers slips into the late teens....

am I the only one who pulls the trigger for a trade-up?

he seems like a perfect fit for Shanahan, we can roll with him and Kittle for a few years.... maybe if Kittle's yoga practices help out and extends his career, Bowers could play the Juszczyk role a little. and/or have a Gronk/Hernandez type duo.

but he's an immediate and long-term fit, imo.... another chess piece for KS to build mismatches off of.

Cost matters, obviously, but especially if he gets to the low 20s, I'm trying to make a move. It's unlikely, but he's a player at a devalued position who is best maximized only by certain schemes. He's an easy Deebo replacement for me. I'd look to draft another outside WR, but he's going to see a LOT of snaps lining up in the same way we use deebo...back field, sweeps, end arounds, screens, slot, quick hits over the middle etc
Who would they trade up for? I don't see them coveting someone that hard.

IMO it would be one of these if they began to fall past pick 20.
Joe Alt
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
Taliese Fuaga
JC Latham
Troy Fautanu (not so sure him though. if they think he is a G I just dont think they would value him enough to trade up for)

I think there are a few teams picking 20-30 that are also looking at oline so in their mind a trade up is the only way to get one if they start to fall.

On a side note i get confused with who is who between Fashanu, Fuaga, & Fautanu if there first name isnt listed.
