BPA - Who would you take

Well that is how the draft works...

That's not how math works. Only 30 players can be selected ahead of us.

Wow did not know that. This scenario was a recent mock draft i did and i literally took the next 10+ players that were available to draft and listed them there.

Hard to pass on Barton and Ado Mitchell but even harder to pass on a great coverage CB with excellent size and ELITE speed. Wiggins for me

I think Wiggins falls bc of his thin frame and physicality. I think Mitchell, Arnold, Kool Aid & Dejean come off the board before Wiggins.

Great for us. Thin frame can easily be addressed in an NFL strength and conditioning program. His physicality leaves something to be desired but his coverage ability makes up for it. I'd be surprised if Kool Aid went before him, we'll see I guess
trade down and try desperately to get another 2nd round pick

the value in this draft for our needs is top to mid 2nd round

I think 49ers will choose between Barton and Rakestraw/Wiggins. With Ward, Lemonior and Hufanga, Thomas all be free agents in 2025 then I think they take CB in this scenario.

Why? Teams try desperately to trade up to 31. They get a fifth year option on a top prospect.
I go Barton. I think niners will like Rakestraw

You are on the clock at #31 and no enticing trade offers have come in. The following players are the next players on your board.and you have a similar grade on all of them. Who you picking?

CB: Nate Wiggins, Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
WR: Keon Coleman, Adonai Mitchell, Ladd McConkey, Troy Franklin, Xavier Legette
S: Tyler Nubin
OL: Graham Barton, Jordan Morgan, Zach Frazier, Kingsley Suamataia

If the board fell like this i'd stll go oline between Barton, Morgan or Kinglsey. I'd probably go Barton.

Barton

I don't even know who #2 would be, maybe Fraizer

We have multiple needs and likely won't get the top option at #31...most mocks i see seems like a reach pick and then we have a bare cupboard and reach again at #62

Another trend I see is multiple prospects I would be happy with at 31 and who will still be there if we drop down 5-10 slots

So use that 1st round fifth year option value to trade down into the 2nd round and get an additional pick.

Package the additional pick with our lower rounds and get another 2nd rounder

Instead of late 1st and late 2 end with (3) 2nd round picks is my dream draft scenario

That seems where the good value is with this draft crop and our team needs

I either want us to trade up, feels like there's about 15 non-QBs blue-chip caliber players

or trade back, pick up an extra day 2 pick

I don't like the value at 31, unless someone slips
I just realized OP basically wanted a no trade down answer

my bad man

CB Nate Wiggins is the best talent with an asterisk for lack of physicality

The pros/cons of that pick give us the best chance for a solid talent infusion compared to other prospects IMO

These hypotheticals sucks because they remove more then the top 30 players...

They don't. The hypothetical could be worse - Barton, Wiggins, Mitchell, and Suamataia could all be gone as well if only 4 QBs are off the board.

We're all hoping a top 25 player at a position of need falls to us but there's no guarantee.

1. Caleb Williams
2. Drake Maye
3. Jaydon Daniels
4. JJ McCarthey
5. Marvin Harrison
6. Malik Nabers
7. Rome Odunze
8. Brian Thomas
9. Adonai Mitchell
10. Brock Bowers
11. Joe Alt
12. Olumuyiwa Fashanu
13. Taliese Fuaga
14. JC Latham
15. Amarius Mims
16. Troy Fautanu
17. Tyler Guyton
18. Jackson Powers-Johnson
19. Graham Barton
20. Dallas Turner
21. Jared Verse
22. Laiatu Latu
23. Chop Robinson
24. Byron Murphy
25. Quinyon Mitchell
26. Terrion Arnold
27. Cooper Dejean
28. Kool-Aid McKinstry
29. Nate Wiggins

BPA would be Johnny Newton, Darius Robinson, Kingsley Suamataia, McConkey, or Worthy (one of those may be gone too).

Fair enough. I'd take 3 second rounders over a late first and late second. Although, one of the second rounders is the late second. Also, in your scenario they'd have to make two trades to get the third second rounder. Trade back for one, keep their late second and then couple picks together to get another second. Seems far fetched IMO. I'd just keep the late first with the fifth year option. Seems more probable.

i'm left with McConkey, Mitchell, Barton, Kinsley, Wiggins. IMO Wiggins isn't gonna be a Kyle guy. I think he's probably one of the best coverage DBs, but he's a liability as a tackler. We need dogs out there.

I don't think we go WR in the 1st two rds, so mcConkey and Mitchell are crossed off. Down to Kinsley and Barton. OT > C.

Agree. And I think that's a small pool of guys possibly available at 31. I mean if Legett, Coleman, and Franklin are options, then Fiske should be an option as well. Other guys in that late range IMO: Newton, Guyton, DeJean, Kool-Aid, and Pork Chop. A few teams will reach and plus somebody will take Penix in R1.
