Late riser in the media does not equal late riser inside the NFL community
I get that but sometimes those late risers are leak from some team that has fallen in love with some player after watching a private workout. The media takes it and runs with it.
I think it's a player that most teams/scouts like that the media wasn't in on…when they start to find out via reporting then it becomes apparent to all of us.
A couple guys that teams seem to love that most of us (and the media) didn't think would go as high as they're now being reported is Marshawn Kneeland and Andru Phillips.

Which sucks, cus I've been mocking Kneeland to us in the 2nd since the beginning ):

We're a week away from Christmas in April. Just like every other Christmas, we can get some great presents or god awful ones. We have all argued for our favorite prospects for months. Now that we're a week away, who's on your do NOT draft list?
Mine are:
Jordan Morgan OT - Niners can do better; may be too small to play OT and may have hit his ceiling already as a player
Amarius Mims OT - not enough experience and an injury history on top of that; hard pass
Ladd McConkey WR - nice player and route runner, but not a huge difference maker
Devontez Walker and Xavier Worthy WR - blazing speed but inconsistent hands
T'Vondre Sweat - a DWI within three week of the draft; need a player with better judgement
Isn't walker pretty damn good though? Def better than worthy? Sorry Mims is in for sure.

Sorry, I'm not playing by the rules, but here's who I wouldn't draft at #31 or in the 1st round period.
Kool Aid McKinstry - I don't like the way he doesn't turn his head to locate the ball, seems like he much rather play the receiver.
Jordan Morgan - I just don't think he's worth a 1st round pick, I wouldn't be mad if it's the 49ers 63rd pick, that way I wouldn't be too mad if he's switched to Guard, which some project him to be in the NFL. I just think the 9ers could do better at #31
Ja'Tavion Sanders - plain and simple, I just don't want a TE in the 1st round, IDGAF who mocks him to the 49ers.
Xavier Worthy - IDGAF how fast he ran at the Combine, I can't remember a WR who ran the fastest 40 time at the Combine ever doing anything spectacular in the NFL. Plus he's skinny AF.

Good point. I was thinking about both scenarios. Guys like Sweat are in the "don't draft at all" category after the DWI and Morgan is in the "not at pick 31, but maybe later" category.

He's got good hands but I don't like anything else about his game. He does not separate from players who will be back coaching high school in a few year. His RAC is more about bad tackling than his ability to break tackles.

Surprised by the hate for Cooper Dejean. A lot of the draft guys i follow love him as a safety including former NFL db & 49er superfan Eric Crocker with the locked on 49ers podcast. 49ers played 3 safeties in the Super Bowl and it worked out pretty well until later in the game. I think Cooper can play the Jimmie Ward role but maybe even at a higher level. Better ball skills than Jimmie too.
Anyways here are some guys i don't want that i;'ve seen us linked to:
Tyler Guyton - doesnt fit zone blocking scheme
AD Mitchell - takes plays off. Do not want at #31
Ennis Rakestraw - don't like his game
Jermaine Burton - maturity concerns
Maason Smith - not impressed with him as a top 100 prospect
inb4 we draft all of these guys and I'm their biggest fan.

Thats why we are trading down to 37 with Harbaugh. Boring first night, but will be worth it.

I don't get that either. DeJean can fill multiple roles including returning kicks for the Niners at a high level. Agree on Guyton at OT, but he looks destined to be taken by the Ravens at #30 if he's there. Would rather have Kris Abrams-Draine from Mizzou over Rakestraw as a nickel CB. Don't know enough about Mitchell or Burton to agree or disagree, but know that the Niners could use one more good WR.

Any "undersized" DT
I dont want Guyton, but I'm surprised by the "not a fit" comment. Currently, he's so lost out there technique wise I guess he's not really a fit from day 1 anywhere, but he's got suchhhhhh light feet. He's not just an easy mover for his size, he's am easy mover period.
