I don't know how that goes over in the locker room. I agree it's tempting but Deebo is a leader of this team.
That's true, especially after they supposedly assured him they aren't trading him.
I'd much rather trade away Deebo than Aiyuk.

I'd rather trade Yuk. His skillset is easier to replace than Deebos.

Deebo has a unique skillset, but so does CMC. I think you keep Aiyuk, because at this point in our offensive evolution it's more important we have WRs that can get open for Purdy, than scheming guys in space. We can scheme multiple players in space, and while Deebo is dynamic with the ball, so is CMC and Kittle. To me, Aiyuk's skillset is the most complimentary to our needs and current roster and I disagree that he's anywhere near as easy to replace given it's been 2 decades since we've had a WR as good as him.

Giants want a WR and it is better to take a sure thing like Aiyuk than a great prospect like Nabers who probably has about a 50% chance of being a bust like most first round WRs. And then NYG still get a late first. All they have to do is pay Aiyuk. We get long term Tackle.
Then how do you replace Aiyuk? Especially when you won't even have pick 31 anymore. I said before I am not comfortable going into the season with Deebo as our #1 WR who can't beat man coverage. And with the injury concerns on top of that.

I think Kyle values Deebo as a chess piece pre snap more than Yuk

He definitely values him, but at some point age, durability, and effort become deciding factors. Does Deebo ever come close to reaching 2021 Deebo again? I wouldn't put money on it. With Aiyuk, we could be looking at the start to a dominant career and budding rapport with our young QB, and less wear and tear.

I would prefer keeping both but I'm talking myself into being okaybtrading Aiyuk. I agree Yuk is ascending while Deebo been slowing down slightly

If Jimmy was the QB you would prefer Deebo over Aiyuk. But with Brock you need a WR that can win route's down the field.

I think they fell in love with Troy Fautanu and will trade up to get him. I like the move but I'd rather stay at 31 and trade up in the 2nd.
