Seems like you never played a sport. Nobody that is playing thinks like that.

Especially when the obvious answer is staring you in the face: He's making a lot more money than what we were offering.

I mean, the 49ers would have to say yes. Don't worry though he won't be traded.
Jags got hoodwinked this guy isn't fit anymore with the feet concerns will he pass physical
Just hurts we couldn't get anything aside from cap relief by his release. Not even a comp pick

if there was a path to it the SF 49CompPicks would have done so
I'm happy for AA and thank him for his contributions to this team. But I also think it was time for him to go. This might be an unpopular view but I got tired each week of saying AA would be the wildcard player on the entire team ie if he shows up and plays hard, we'd dominate.

Often times I think AA was just going thru the motions. It seemed like the fire was gone for a long time ago with AA. Plus as a leader in the locker room, AA's laid back chill vibe isn't what is best for this team. I want NASTY, angry guys who motor 100% of the time and get on other players when they don't give 100% (reference Jerry Rice and his interview with Joe Buck). AA isn't this guy anymore. So as much as I admire him, I'm somewhat happy he's gone.

i know I'll take heat for this post but that's ok! Just my opinion boys!

I love AA, but if a DT is going to make 17 million per, he has to offer more as a pass rusher than Arik does.

This doesn't make sense. We saved $18M by cutting him. What would cutting his salary to $17-18M had done? It would've saved us nothing, no?
