After the heartbreak(s) over the last few years, wouldn't you ?

AA made out like a bandit in all this. Good for him. My gut tells me we made the right decision in releasing him and the Jags the wrong decision giving him a three year contract. But i wish him nothing but the best. It kind of feels like the end of an era with his departure.

This doesn't make sense. We saved $18M by cutting him. What would cutting his salary to $17-18M had done? It would've saved us nothing, no?

I don't think we really know what the Niners were asking of him. The no state tax is a bonus. I'm sure this post is more speculation.
Congrars Arik!

It's about respect for some people.

Good Luck, Arik! He's getting older and wants to make his last fat contract, especially with Florida taxes. $17M a year in Florida is more than $18M in Cali.

i wish him the best, except when he's playing us.

What the hell are you always blabbering about? No smart NFL teams keeps and pays aging injury prone vets that they can't replace for cheaper. That is how you end up sucking. And they were smart to cut ties with sorry ass Trey Lance. Smart enough to admit a mistake and move one.

Yup, 9ers aren't being disrespectful they're trying to run a business and treat Arik more than fair.

Yea AA was definitely breaking down. And the games he did play down the stretch he was meh to good at times. As a Niner fan who has watched him his whole career, I think we did dump him a year before we had to. I think this time next year we would all be saying it's time. Now the Jags committed to three years? Good luck. I truly wish he doesn't break down tho because he was good to us

Move the thread already. He gone. HE GONE. HE. IS. GONE.
It's been a good ride. He went from the goofy ass guy tripping over his own feet to a very serviceable player for us. Wish him the best.
He's still making about 17 million average a year, wow holy s**t. Must be good to be him.
