so is our #1 receiver.
Talib is also the second best cb on their team.

Or we offered Denver a 6th rd pick and wanted him to restructure his contract and he said F that. We have no idea what the terms were end of the day.
So basically we looked at Vonte Davis that means we're not interested in Johnson as well?

Sounds like you might need a change of underwear. Relax, there is no need to crap in your pants.
The Rams added corners simply because:1) they are sh*t scared of Jimmy G and 2) that's how Wade Philips builds his D.
You can go and break the bank on a couple of free agent corners and it will have zero effect on Peters and Talib. You are just breaking it. Don't worry, we will have additional help in the backend.
But, the key focus will be on Jimmy G and the O to get the job done. At the end of the day, you will need to put points on the board to win games. Having signed our franchise QB, the most urgent task now will be to build the team around him because with proper protection and weapons, Jimmy is going to win us a lot of games. Just look at last year with his 5 consecutive wins, they were all offensive wins, the D hardly did anything.
What you should be thinking about after the Rams added Peters and Talib is how the 9ers is going to counter and not panic and copy them just because they added 2 top corners.

The secondary has been a major weakness for the 49ers for some time now and if that doesn't get addressed the 49ers will continue to struggle getting off the field on third down. As far as I know the rams secondary wasn't half as bad as the 49ers last year but they still came out and added 2 elite corners. I'm not suggesting the 49ers counter anything, just address an important postition that is very weak at the moment.

for talib maybe, but peters is still young and could still develop.

Yeah, Peters still has at least 2-4 good years. But something about that trade not right from KC. You don't trade away Peters at the height of his talent when CB of his caliber tough to find and develop in the draft. The Chiefs knows something the rest of the NFL don't to got rid of Peters

The Rams are in a different stage of their development than we are and they are essentially mortgaging their future for next season. The problem I see is their high-stakes bet can go really wrong if it doesn't come through. I think that risk compounds with headcases and players over 30 who aren't QBs.

On backfield
Also lost their top pass rush and second line backer, not scared
Adding two pro bowl corners in one off season is very impressive, rams will go into the season as heavy favorites to win the west.
Sneaky rams, if they even have a decent draft they will be the clear offseason winners.
Certainly hope Lynch has a plan at cornerback.
