Why the hell is Saleh putting ST at DE at all? Dude, it's not going to work, let it go!!!

Saleh is stupid and wasting valuable reps for some of the defensive players.

We had no edge rushers to play that last game. Ford/Bosa/Blair all out. I think they had AA rushing as a DE as well.

When he got pushed inside as a pass rusher it was what you want to see. Saleh said he wants a lot of our DL to be able to play inside/outside.

In a game where the ultimate goal is winning then I get it. But these games are about reps and getting the team in sync, among other things.

This. And Moore went out too. So all 4 of our ER's were out...hence Thomas and Street and AA, etc. out at DE again. Tighter W9 and SNICKEL.

I genuinely hope the personnel was why. Because if it's not, Saleh should be fired on the spot.

Kocurek: Cool, it looks like everything is in place for a smooth transition to wide 9.

Saleh: One last thing. What if, hear me out, we go wide 9 AND snickel.

Kocurek: What the f**k is a snickel?

Good game for Solly.

I can't wait to have Bosa. Ford, Buck w/Solly playing on the inside.
"I f**ked his ass up, boy!!" - Solly after he threw that guard on his ass

I never pictured Solly talking like that.

Kyle Shanahan said flat out yesterday that Solly played really well in the game &more importantly he's done the same thing in all of training camp. That's Kyle Shanahan, head coach is the SF 49ers of the NFL of which there's only 32 of those jobs in the world. I think I'll trust his opinion & statement. Looking forward to seeing Solly on the field in the regular season.

Lmao
C'mon now... can't believe everything these coaches say.
This is the same Kyle that said "you can go to war with Jimmie Ward"

I mean, coaches ain't gonna publicly bash players, as it should be.

Dude, can you ever just sit back and say why also?

Why the constant justification?

We all know who didn't play, but it does ST absolutely ZERO good playing him outside.. so why do it? They got other guys to throw out to the edge. Maybe just maybe keep ST inside so ha can develop.
You did it for the past months in the OLine thread..
"Who should have they picked" "they threw resources in the OLine" "cant fix the whole team in one draft or FA" & my favorite, " CONTINUITY"!!! Continuity from An OLine that led the league in hits!
Now you changed your tune a bit throwing out "I wish they'd of grab some lineman"..

Not all the s**t the FO does are the right moves.. see Jimmie Ward.

Yeah we like that kinda party
If he's going up against right tackles I don't have a problem with Solly at edge. Obviously you want him inside as much as possible but say a Ford, AA, Buckner, Thomas line while Bosa is resting isn't bad.

If Nick comes in here and we move him to NT

Dude, I've got a clip of Nick Bosa as a true Sophomore at 1technique standing up both the center and guard like a f**king true nose tackle lol.

...like an elite DL should. Dude just makes plays. Put him anywhere.

All jokes aside to Hero Nick Bosa playing NT 85% of his snaps doesn't help make him better and would be misuse big time.

Solomon Thomas isn't Nick Bosa. He's not that type of talent so let's not get into that comparison. Not all draft classes are created equal but what made Thomas a high draft pick was his play inside and specifically his athletic ability. That athletic ability is rare at DT but more common at DE.

That's not even bringing up the mental part of the game where he got a late start on during his rookie season and then clearly was f&cked up after his sister killed herself. If your head isn't in the game to the point where you're thinking of killing yourself...all that talent goes out the window.

Then, wouldn't Bosa's athletic ability be more rare at NT?

Yea but you just blew up your own argument, Shanny said that and then what did he go and do? He resigned the oft-injured player proving he wanted to do exactly that! People were scratching their heads when J Ward was resigned.

"can't believe everything these coaches say"...unless it proves my point right?

It's not like Shanahan was telling us something that's happening behind the scenes. Unless you're biased anyone watching the game could see Thomas played well.

The coach saying the same thing as many fans who watched the game isn't coach speak. It's just calling it like it is.
