If Bosa went 1 we'd pretty much have to take Q so it shouldn't be surprising that we were assessing what Solomon's value on the trade market was.

This. I don't see what the harm is in actually seeing how Thomas would do as the 4th guy. He will be surrounded by pass rushers. What will it hurt us to find out who would be the best man for that position? I do think at some point, at least one of these DTs (Taylor, Day, Thomas, Armstead) will be traded. And my money is on the last 3 because they at least have starting potential, particularly on a bad D-line.

honestly i think the armstead and thomas trade rumors were a smokescreen by our FO so that the Cards would think that we were going to take QW so they could stop threatening to take Bosa at #1. Lynch and co didnt deny the rumors until after Bosa was ours.

Maybe he just needs to be unblocked. I wonder if other teams just ignore him if he can still get a sack once in awhile.
