Lobo,

Another Baalke player gone. RB Harris and some other roster moves. ( I think you already removed RB Davis)

Thanks! Working on it right now - actually had a busy day at work yesterday, so couldn't get to this lol. Update coming soon.
Updated. 40%!
I'm thinking about coming up with something that looks more specifically at how the player was acquired. The chart would include/show information like: "Drafted by", "Signed as an UDFA by (similar to drafted, imo)", and "Signed as a FA by", and "Acquired via Trade by". I'll give it some thought....

If the 53 is off by a player or two what would the % be?

For the 53 man, each player is about 2%.

Examples:

25 Baalke & 28 Sh/Ly/McC = 47% Baalke Meter
26 Baalke & 27 Sh/Ly/McC = 49% Baalke Meter
27 Baalke & 26 Sh/Ly/McC = 51% Baalke Meter

53-Man Baalke Meter last year? 96% (51 Baalke + 2 McCloughan (Staley + Brooks)).`

Was that what you were asking?

I'm guessing we keep ~27 from last year (25 Baalke, 2 McC). Result:

25 Baalke & 28 Sh/Ly/McC = 47% Baalke Meter

But when looking at 47%, don't use the current 40% as a point-of-reference. I'll have a separate "Offseason" and "53-man" reference to use. So, for the 53, last year's meter was 96% - Getting to 47% in one year is amazing, fantastic, and sad all at the same time.

I love this. And what round players were drafted. It sort of level sets importance, expectations, etc. Like Beadles in FA...signed as a push starter/depth but got better value. He'll be the only FA picked up (basically). So you'll be able to see his one acquisition vs. what ShanaLynch did this year. Signed an UDFA...expectations low. Top 10 pick, high, etc.

That's smart. (and that's not typed in a "surprised" tone lol). If I do this, I'll definitely include round drafted.

Youdaman!
Hilarious thread......love it!!
Must say though that the Baalke percentage will probably rise a little bit once you hit the 53 man roster because of all the camp bodies we're signing right now.

But next year, Baalke Meter is gonna be sooo low!!!

Thanks! Yep, the Baalke Meter is going to go up closer to 47-50% once we get to the 53 man (though I might use 53 man + 10 man practice squad as the new reference, not sure yet).

I'll keep the OP up to date, and I'll make clear that the reference is one year ago at this time, so as cuts come, we'll adjust the reference.

Agreed, half of the 53 man roster will be Baalke with quite a few high upside players coupled with some potential cornerstones via 1 year of a top 10 pick. ShanaLynch just added more with a top 2 pick draft and a few via FA's...half is about what I expected.

Still, we need to add three more critical pieces: FQB, ZWR & ER
