This is great...can't believe I didn't see this before. LOL
There was a time when he was thought of as the second coming.

But most Gods actually disappoint.

Yup, when you are the only one running the show and can't secure a FQB or, any skills positions for that matter, you're done.

If John Lynch doesn't secure a FQB he'll be gone too and he knows it.

Well Trent had 7 years and 69 picks by my count and only drafted 2 QBs. That doesn't help your odds of finding one lol

LMAO...not at all. And it's not like there weren't a billion signs that Kaepernick may not be one. Total fail job at THE most important position.

It wasn't more so like we got tricked into thinking Harbs was a QB whisperer lol.

It's really tough to tell who makes the choice when you have a GM and a HC disagreeing a lot. Specially after he nailed it with Aldon in that 2011 draft. GM should always support the Head Coach's vision. It's his system, his schemes, and his vision for the team that counts. GM's should always be 2nd fiddle to the guy who is calling plays on game day. I'm glad he's gone and John Lynch has replaced him. I remember a story (and I think it's true) that Harbaugh wanted Owen Marecic. I think the reasoning was that Owen could be used as an H-back the way he was used by Jim Harbaugh in Stanford. It makes sense, Owen knew Harbaugh's system and could have probably played significantly as a rookie. Instead Baalke chooses Kendall Hunter. Not a bad player, but I never really did much. On offense, Baalke should have just let Harbaugh pick his players. Big mistake and now Baalke's gone. Good riddance.

I think he is still a good coach. I think Baalke's crap offensive drafts did Harbaugh in. AJ Jenkins, Ronald Johnson, Quinton Patton, Bruce Ellington - none of these guys were able to replace Crabtree or Kyle 'Williams in their prime. You look back on Baalke's draft in 2011 and a lot of it was McCoughan apparently. The guy was a disaster for the 49ers and Jed let him ruin this franchise. Sad to say.

I don't agree but don't care to discuss. I think Baalke,a stable good DC and shanny wouldve been a good ying-yang but happy how everything turned out and how things are currently.
