Bwahaha...excited? LOL...I guess people saw that as a big move over Nate Davis.

It wasn't more so like we got tricked into thinking Harbs was a QB whisperer lol.

I think he is still a good coach. I think Baalke's crap offensive drafts did Harbaugh in. AJ Jenkins, Ronald Johnson, Quinton Patton, Bruce Ellington - none of these guys were able to replace Crabtree or Kyle 'Williams in their prime. You look back on Baalke's draft in 2011 and a lot of it was McCoughan apparently. The guy was a disaster for the 49ers and Jed let him ruin this franchise. Sad to say.

I don't agree but don't care to discuss. I think Baalke,a stable good DC and shanny wouldve been a good ying-yang but happy how everything turned out and how things are currently.

Yeah, me too. I like the way it's going. Jed hopefully has grown up and can now stomach a coach that won't kiss his

Having said that, look at the success Harbaugh has had at Michigan and look at the success Baalke has had here. Now I know they are in different circumstances (college vs NFL) (coach vs GM) but you have to wonder if Baalke was so good how come hardly any of his drafts after 2011 really had any good super stars in them. I'll be the first to tell you I know next to nothing about the draft, but it just strikes me as not fitting - if somebody says Baalke was a good GM but we were never to maintain the talent level we had prior to him with McCloughan running the show. Anyway, water under the San Tomas Creek Bridge.

"Luck, the first pick of the 2012 NFL draft, said he owes Harbaugh for helping him develop in every facet of the game.
"Competitive edge, how to play quarterback, and not just on-the-field stuff but the off-the-field sort of work description, in a sense, that a quarterback has," Luck said. "He's a heck of a coach."

"He's a heck of a coach," Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck said in a teleconference with Detroit reporters today. "He's a winner. I know I learned a bunch from him. I feel like I grew as a player, as a man, a lot under him. Always happy for his success -- as long as they're not playing Stanford in the Rose Bowl. Then I have to root for Stanford."

He helped Kap take us to a Super Bowl and is helping Wilton Speight mature as well..

So I ask you this question since you consistently bring this false narrative into play..

Just because we don't want it to be true or delete threads to hide the truth, doesn't mean it becomes reality.

What Qb Jim Harbaugh hasnt helped?

Lol I respect your delivery NC,

I rather hear it from the actual Qb's he has coached and look at the results normally when I research. What Qb he hasn't helped throughout his career?

I think the question is valid imho?

Baalkism is still lingering.

Haha...I swear you have some kind of app that anytime the word, 'Jim' or 'Harbaugh' pops up in the Webzone, it alerts you.

That's what I meant. All in good humor.

Where there Smoke, there's Wu.

I just looked at the New England Patriots recent drafts, and I'm struck by a couple of things. First of all they draft pretty much dead last every year. Second of all, the seem to keep chugging along with Tom Brady at the controls. I think the draft is in a sense, overrated if you look at the New England Patriots and their success. The counterpoint is - of course they can draft dead last because the have a franchise QB. Well, Bellicheat was smart enough to recognize Brady was a Franchise QB, so again, it's the coach vs a GM. I think the 49ers got it right the fist time - got a good coach in Harbaugh, but they screwed it up, but I think the 49ers got it right a second time - in getting Kyle. Kyle got Taylor Gabriel, I think he was undrafted, and the next thing you know he's a big part of their 2016 offense. A big part of drafting and free agency, I think, is having a good coach who has a good system, and allowing that coach to get the players he wants. Now, I know next to nothing about the draft, but I think the draft is overrated - in the sense that to some people if we don't have a first pick in the first round, the season is over - kind of attitude. I think if you have a good coach, a 49er 1986 kind of draft is always possible every year -- as long as you have a good coach vs a GM.

I don't doubt Shanny nor Lynch but I know we are years away brotha. Too many self-inflicted moves. Our gm pissed away drafts like nothing, 3-5 years away if we are lucky.

"But the damage could have been minimized had the 49ers hired Adam Gase to succeed Harbaugh, and it sounds like Gase had the job two years ago ... until general manager Trent Baalke "pushed to go the other way," according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, who added that "Gase was stunned."

Lynch > Baalke
Shannahan > Gase

Yeah... they have a FQB who acts as a second coach to help the turnovered offensive players get quickly up to speed.

But like the WCO, they have a system... and so it doesn't matter where they draft because they know exactly what they need.

This is why Kyle can get high performing offensive players from the 3rd round on... even a FQB. Free agency also proved that.
