Breida might not have played because of last weeks fumbles.

In other words, Matt Breida has already made the #49ers roster so let's look at the rest of the RBs. https://t.co/Nq71CIqcBh

Shanahan said he didn't play because the other guys didn't get a shot last week. He will play again in the third game. Sounds like Breida is impressing the coaching staff.

Is it really worth keeping hightower instead of a young talent? I know Breida will make the team but a guy like Bolden will do wonders on the return game.

Im cool going 3 RBs and 7 WRs to keep Bourne/Smel/Burb and Bolden.

Matt Barrows @mattbarrows
… firm depth chart at play, but also reflects who's looked best in practices. Breida has been better than Williams since spring.

Matt Breida is easily this team's second best RB. It's not close. Of the other RBs only Mostert has shown up in practices and games.

Let's just pretend Breida was the one drafted in the 4th round and Williams was the undrafted one lol

People really got that Williams hype train going. But the reality is that he simply can't create between the tackles. He's exclusively an outside the tackles guy.
Breida can create his own opportunities no matter where he is on the field. Williams needs somebody else to do it for him.

No chance. I don't think they'd risk it. I still think Williams is a lock to make the 53. But this whole offseason has been a bad look for Williams.
