Coleman didnt do much his rookie year... Has had ups and downs.

In Shanny i trust. Kudos to Breida doe, lets not take away anything from him! He was who NYNiner thought he was!

Not a chance in hell. His draft status might be the only thing keeping him on the roster at this point though. One of the things that worried me about him is that he had an OL blasting Mack Truck sized holes open for him in college, he never really had to create on his own. Four of his offensive lineman ended up being drafted including Garrett Bolles who was a 1st round pick and will be starting at left tackle for Denver. He obviously doesn't have that level of OL play here.

He'll definitely get opportunities to get his stuff straightened out and to contribute as the season goes on but he doesn't come around then, they'll be looking for a RB fairly early next draft.

All depends on Hyde and potentially Mostert. If Hyde gets extended and Mostert shows a little something then they may be set with Hyde, Bredia, Mostert and not quite ready to give up on Williams just yet. Would hate to have to use a high draft pick on a rb with the need for cb, ol, qb, and depth at several other positions say mlb.

A FB and 4 RB's who can catch coupled with an OL that can pass protect, a QB who gets rid of the ball under 3 seconds with Kyle calling the plays?

Who needs to run?

....until the 2nd half. Hmmmm, that sounds familiar.

BTW, this is Hoyer's only consistent weakness in passing. He missed McDonald and Kittle on this same route and Breida had to make a heck of a catch here.

… firm depth chart at play, but also reflects who's looked best in practices. Breida has been better than Williams since spring.

Let's just pretend Breida was the one drafted in the 4th round and Williams was the undrafted one lol

People really got that Williams hype train going. But the reality is that he simply can't create between the tackles. He's exclusively an outside the tackles guy.

Breida can create his own opportunities no matter where he is on the field. Williams needs somebody else to do it for him.

+1...will say he broke loose game 1 and to be fair hasn't seen to many carries since...still has the highest avg YPC on the team.

they've limited Williams' carries because they've seen enough of him to know he's going to make the cut. Plus, they know Hyde won't make it through the entire season, so they have to make sure Williams doesn't get hurt.

I've been thinking the same. Hyde has been taking some shots and we might need at least 2 RB's to make is through the year.

He'd be the only rookie RB that isnt injured to have his carries limited. You want your rookie RBs to get plenty of snaps, especially in this offense. It is pretty clear that Breida has passed him up, whether the issue is pass blocking or whatever with Williams, Breida appears to be situated as the #2.

Well just looking at it from a experience level. You don't want an UDRFA as your #2 RB behind an injury prone power back.

Williams is a 4th round pick and you don't usually let those guys slip to the PS. You lock them up on 4 year rookie deals.

Breida can easily land on the PS like most UDRFA do.
I also believe Mostert is still PS eligible.
