I hope they don't trade Hyde, he fits Shanahan's offense IMO anyway, much better than Chryst, and Chip's offenses. This would be the 2nd move I disagree with this offseason, the only other being to cut Torrey Smith.
I would like to see Shanahan and Lynch give Hyde a chance to prove himself. I wish they had given Smith that chance also.

I only would want Hyde gone, if Shanahan doesn't think he is what he wants. T. Smith I was glad was cut. Sometimes we just have to wash that bad taste out of our mouth, and for some reason T. Smith was just that while here. He didn't get much of a contract from the Eagles, so that should show that he was heavily over paid here, and I highly doubt he has much success over there either.
I like a Hyde+Williams 1-2 punch, if Shanahan likes it as well :)

That always happens, whenever a player signs a big deal, and then is cut, he never gets a big deal after being cut, unless he's Darrelle Revis, so that really isn't a fair assumption IMO. Also they never used Smith right, either Gabbert couldn't get him the ball, or Kap never looked his way. Just because he wasn't successful under Chryst and Chip's offenses, doesn't mean he won't in PHILLY, he has a real QB in Wentz, plus not some system that is completely ridiculous like Kelly's, or a s**tty offense like Chryst's.

I hear you AB, but if Torrey has yet ANOTHER down season, at what point do we say that he's not good anymore?

This dude will lead the league in preseason rushing yards and then all of you will be pissed when he's placed on the practice squad lol

Haha...I think he has to totally dominate to earn the 3rd spot. If he performs well he could convince the team to carry a 4th RB or try and stash him on PS.
If the team is really high on him and he does well they should try to get him on the 53. He has elite athleticism even by NFL standards based on his SPARQ score. I'm sure teams have their eyes on him, waiting to see what he does in pre-season.

Agreed, Sofa...we saw how well stashing worked with our first developmental qB, Driskell, in a long time. He went on the stash squad and was taken within 48 hrs( or close). Whatever, it proved your point that if you really want somebody, put them on the 53. Anymore thinking you are going to stash a talent is just wishful thinking.
Anyone thinking the other 31 GMs are stupid and would not know about a real talent...well, they are the ones who are stupid.

It just goes to show how disorganized and really bad the previous organization was in retaining talent. As for Breida, I'm pulling for him, maybe he can pull a LeGarrette Blount kind of performance and make the 53. We shall see...

Word is he's the most impressive rookie in camp thus far. I love Cinderella stories and this could be one. Hyde's injury history suggests a running back by committee at the least, if we keep him, and Breida appears to be more impressive than Williams, at least up to now. Should be interesting once pads go on and preseason starts.

This guys 2014-2015 highlights are absurd. I know his play dipped off tremendously this past season, but his game speed is on another level and he seems to break a lot of tackles for a guy his size. I'm glad we were able to get this guy. I would think he'll make the roster because if they try to stash him on the practice squad another team will gobble him up. High upside here!
