the more he runs, the more he reminds me of Terrell Davis under the same offensive scheme..
Baalke finds stars in the making?

Mostert's story mirrors the JD Smith story. A DB and special teams player for the Bears, he was a 15th round draft pick. The 49ers got him after his 3rd season as a special teams player and DB. He had incredible speed so they finally acceded to his wishes to play RB. First game he ran for over 100 yards with an 80+ yard TD. The next year, his first full season on offense, he finished #2 in the NFL behind Jim Brown. JD twice made All-Pro and is among the 49ers all-time leading rushers. As an undrafted RB, Mostert is on his 6th team and this is the first time he has been given an opportunity. He has proven to be tough as a special teams gunner. Good blocker, decent pass protector, but it's his 4.32 speed and his heart and leadership qualities that make him stand out. Shanahan's judgment could use a little upgrade and this guy deserves a fair shot. He is proving his value to the team and still is the first guy downfield on special teams.

there were runs by this guy that you can tell it was just special.. he's yet to break a long one, but for every game I see him play, he nearly average 6 yards per run..
there are times yesterday (vs Rams) where I thought that the way to keep Beathard from turning the ball over is to have a MIKE SHANAHAN TYPE OF GAME PLAN where the run is HEAVY, and lots of roll out and/or bootleg..

When Mostert gets a few steps, he forces defenders to change their angle. That speed.

The way Brieda and Mostert running, Kyle will probably move up to the 2nd to draft a bust RB.

I started ripping this guy after he fumbled a couple of times, since then he has gone on a tear! I am here to take credit for this, and plan to keep calling him a bum....because it's working!
The more I rip him, the more he proves me wrong!
So, cut this fool now, he sucks! He's a bum!

I'd like to see him play majority of the game as if he's being featured and see what he can really do..

Yeah... Why run when you're guaranteed to fumble by singling Donald, doing seven step drops, and Beathard won't get rid of it until its too late?
