Himmy aka Hit me, as hit me with the ball so I can score.
That's about the most simple and easiest job he needs to do because every starting weapon on the team has talent to take it to the house or at least get plenty of YAC: CMC, deebo, AB, kittle, Mitchell..
Just don't throw INTs, bad throws and make bonehead decisions and get the f**king ball out quickly and on time Jimmy aka Himmy before you get pressured or sacked!!!! 🤣 I mean the only best thing Jimmy has is his quick release..

I'm sure the plays KS is drawing up every week especially pass plays, are quick ones with quick reads and many quick options to ALL these weapons as Jimmy is limited to his arm strength and mobility, are the reasons we have seen better success with the offense now that CMC has been acclimated, just get the ball out quickly to ANY of these weapons if they are open especially vs man to man or a mismatch and let them YAC it up or take it to the house.

LMAO, Steve Young is delusional after only 3 good games vs 3 average or less performaning teams with injuries, it's NOT even the playoffs yet 🤣

Would you sign up for a 10 year marriage with a girl after 3 good dates knowing she has divorced 2x the last 2-3 years due to her own issues, problems and limitations as a good partner wife or mother? 🤣

Put it in CONTEXT, before making ANY major decisions especially if it relates to MONEY AND LONG TERM FUTURE aka Steve Young is talking out of his Ass 🤣 good thing Steve isn't a NFL coach or works for a NFL FO but is part of the stupid say anything with no responsibility to generate fake news headlines nonsense hyped bored sports media 🤣

Just curious, did everyone read/listen to the interview or just go off the snappy phrase that's circulating?

What Steve said was that he wants Jimmy to grow and Kyle and Jimmy to make it all come together and string performances like we saw Monday together because Jimmy works well in the offense and works well with the players and if he/they string stuff like this together, you've got the QB position answered.

He said something to the affect, "who wouldn't want to watch that every game?" And, "quarterback is the biggest question you have to answer in the NFL".

He wasn't saying, "he was great on MNF, sign him to an extension now". It was, more of - you keep this up, the team keeps this up, you've got the answer to the hardest question in football.

That's what his meaning was, that he wants them to string it together because he wants that answer for the next 10 years. Lance is still a question mark.

Mmmm, not really.
1. We have very, very few 7 step drop plays. That vast majority of our dropback passing game are 5 step and 5 step with a hitch.

The longer developing plays are play-action.

ARI was playing a 6 man front a lot of the first half so we threw it 21x to 7 runs. Kyle talked about this. That meant no real play-action game. It wasn't until the 2nd half we saw some play-action, like the slide concept to Kittle for the TD

As far as dropback passes, they were mostly 5 step and 5+hitch passes.

Lol.. Again, put it in CONTEXT.
Is Steve looking at how much it would cost to keep Jimmy around next season when you have Trey on the roster already do you really need another season of Jimmy after this one? And is Steve looking a bit far ahead especially without considering any financial and salary cap issues when the team hasn't even reached the play offs yet and more importantly how Jimmy will perform once again vs GOOD PLAY OFF TEAMS that aren't full of injuries and that has a strong pass rush?

Steve is talking prematurely with no considerations of the future and out of his ass. It's a good thing he is part of the no responsibility fake headline and news bored attention seeking sports media and not part of any NFL coaching or FO who should and operates completely opposite.

Doesnt matter, you adapt to the circumstances is always the best action in war or football, aka take advantage of what the D gives you (and any injured or subpar players they have), furthermore you have to always play and make use of your own strengths and hide your weaknesses whether that's war or football. And we ALL know what Jimmy's limitations are and so does the whole NFL, now that the team is stack with offensive weapons at every starting position, just get the ball out as quick as possible, on passing plays, to the weapons that's open and you're good to go, the opposing D especially an injured one, CAN'T COVER EVERYONE especially if the play was designed well, pass or run for that matter.

I have a hard time seeing Jimmy still being here next season. Even if he plays at a very high level for the rest of the year and into the playoffs, that just means he's gonna cost more. Then you also have the guy you invested 3 first round picks in...

As if we needed any more motivation for the 49ers to win the SB

I'm happy that Jimmy ias played well the past 3 games since that helps the team. However I'm not going to be fooled into thinking that after 8+ seasons he suddenly got better.

This is the same Jimmy G we've seen since he's been here. The difference is he's stayed healthy and he has more weapons now. Oh and he's not throwing INTS. This team is loaded on offense at every spot. Plus several players that were injured early this year are back now. The entire team is playing better including Jimmy but his skillset hasn't changed a bit. Same short accurate passes with the occasional 20-25 yard throw down the middle. Kittle, Deebo and CMC racking up the YAC.

Yeah. Sounds like you're happy.

This is only the third true season we have seen with Jimmy. The other seasons hen was behind Brady. So let's stop using those years as evidence for making him look bad. And the other years he was injured. Even the 2nd year (last year) was marred by injury. So let's pump the brakes a bit on claiming we know who Jimmy is.

See above. I'm pretty sure Kittle was making a joke because they were in Mexico.

Not me. I'm on record saying frequently I expected a year similar to Jimmy's from last year out of him: in the 20s on TDs and in the teens or near it on INTs.

Who's making him look bad? I just said he's the same player he's always been. He's gone 3 games without an INT so that in of itself makes him look better but he's not throwing any more accurately than he always has. He's throwing the same type of passes he always has. His recewivers are racking up the YAC as always and he has one more really good weapon in CMC.

I'm not about to put him in the top 10 list anymore than I am Geno Smith. Both are have good years but neither is a top 10 QB. Please don't star twitht he stats. I don't care about those. I'm sure there are areas that Jimmy is ranked high but there are also areas that he ranks low. I just don't think a QB can improve much after being in the league as long as he has and playing in the same system now for his 6th year. We know what he is and so does the rest of the league.
