Lynch has so many connections. He can replace Peter with someone of the same pedigree if not better. Also, majority of the works in the draft system is done by the scouts so as long as Lynch and Shanahan keep their best scouts out there and do their diligence in filtering and vetting their draft picks, we'll be a'ight. Wait, why don't we get that guy Cunningham as Peter's replacement, if no one picks him up.

The appeal of the job has to be enormous for talented personnel execs and scouts that aspire to eventually become GMs.

Facts. I said this earlier. If you want to move up in anything, this is the place to be. We currently have 3 guys sitting as GMs that came through here. If Lynch comes calling you, you're answering.

I wonder really how much Peters was responsible to the later round picks. I've heard the whole spectrum as they were all his picks to it was all the assistants influence that made Peters and staff to make these picks.

I don't know if we will ever know since we are not in the building. However it happened, it is freaking amazing the turn around since Shanahan and Lynch got here in the talent level on this team. We should get number 6 this year or next, maybe even both years

Ran Carthon gave some insight into the process. I see this all as a collaboration.

He's with the Titans right now? We could probably get him back soon lol.

Dspends on his coaching hire and what they do at QB. I like Vrabel and wonder what went wrong.

Yeah this is Carthon's year to prove himself or he will be back lol.

Me too I actuality thought they would be much better this year. Vrabel will probably go to the Patriots.

Anthony Lynn. Cmon Ran make it happen.
What if he brings in Trey as his QB and Trey legit becomes a star that would be RICH.

Lmfao. Uh, McDaniels seat is as cool as a cucumber.

Seriously, where do people come up with this s**t?

Some silly takes. McDaniel on a hot seat! 😂
Not my take, I think he has been a good coach. But there were some reports indicating he could be on the hot seat if they lost, and they did just that.

I don't think anyone seriously thinks he's gonna get canned this off season, but the seat is definitely luke warm coming into season 3.

Yeah, some of you guys are underestimating the incompetence of Stephen Ross and the Miami Dolphins.

Anthony Lynn. Cmon Ran make it happen.

Anthony Lynn clearly had his issues with game management and such, but the Chargers are clearly worse without him. With that said, I'd either want to see Lynn in a coordinator/playcalling role to see if he's addressed those. Unfortunately that won't happen here.
So does Washington currently have two GMs? I thought they hired a guy from out front office to be GM a couple years back? What happens to that guy? Are they doing reshuffling and keeping both? Martin Mayhew?

They'll keep him if he's brilliant, sell the team in a couple years after they still suck, open up a stock trade firm with all their smart guys

The rumour was Mayhew was getting fired or repositioned

Oh? Is this knowledge or supposition?

I wouldn't mind bringing him back to be assistant gm, if they let him go. Especially since it'll most likely mean he won't get another chance anytime soon - bring some stability. I don't want the man to not get a shot but I also don't want too much turnover.
