Fangio on Lock: "His college offense had no carryover to pro offenses. He was under duress a lot ... I don't think he's as far along being an NFL-ready QB as he could have been. … He's not a QB yet. He's a hard-throwing pitcher who doesn't know how to pitch yet.'' #9sports

Vic old school in a good way. He isn't full of himself and the BS
"Anybody who has been a position coach, or assistant coach, they don't like the music," Fangio told reporters. "It makes it hard to talk to your guys. I don't see the benefit of having music out there. I was an assistant coach, and I don't want to drum out the noise to talk to my players."
I agree with him. When players are not directly involved in practice, I would want them focusing on what has been taught, not rocking and singing along with a song they like that is on the speakers. This is a job and a business. Get in. Get the job done. Go home and rock.

Vic Fangio keeping it real once again: "Culture is kind of a new word in the sporting vernacular... Culture, to me, is about getting a bunch of good players in here and then a bunch of good coaches and then we win a bunch of games and everybody's happy so we have good culture."

Seriously, practice is so damn limited as it is now; last thing you want is a bunch of dudes choreographing their dance moves. Be. Professional.

Brutal. I wish Shanahan was hard on his takes with Beathard like this, lol.

If Lock would be Fangio's sole option, he might not have advertised him like this.

LOL, well not exactly.
Remember, Shanahan & Lynch could have passed on Thomas at number 3 overall and taken Patrick Mahomes. This shows that with our coaching staff/front office scouting QB's is more like a crap shoot than a science.
Can you imagine offering the Chiefs Beathard & Thomas in a straight up trade for Mahomes right now?

But my post was not related to the day when we drafted him but to the moment Jimmy was out with a torn ACL and Mullens not a true backup. CJ made mistakes but there was no point to call him out as Fangio did. If he's your only liable option you can not throw him under the bus.
