They had Moss one of those years playing over him. Can't blame them there.

Couldn't do a whole lot with him either.

Yeah but we were 2nd per play in passing that year so he worked well as a decoy. The threat of the Big play can be just as good.

Until you need to complete one pass from 5 yards out to win a SB and don't even look at your 6'4", future HOF WR.

Had an opportunity on 1 play. Kap carried us a long way but his inexperience popped up. That or if JH didn't call that d timeout Kap walks in.

What? How? It's Baalke's fault that our incompetent head coach and offensive coordinator couldn't make due with that talent.

That's not talent when not a single receiver can catch a pass past 10 yards down the field. And that oc is now running the #2 offense. But my bad I may of sidetracked this thread here so back to NE. They just have nothing vertical and Tom doesn't have the ability to make up for it.

Worst takes in the history of bad takes, maybe ever.

Roman's and Harbaugh's piss poor play calling cost us, regardless of what Roman is doing now.

The results of 13/14 speak for itself. It was a crap squad. But at least John is smarter than that and has given Lamar plenty of speed.

John is giving Lamar plenty of speed though so kudos to him.

That's because John > Jim. And Newsome > Baalke
Since this is about NE let me break this down for you. Tom threw for 300 yards in 4 out of 6 games to start the year. He had a 100 rating in 4 out of 6 games too. Then Gordon went out and he only did those things 1 time afterwards in 11 weeks. Brown factors in there too but they just ran out of effective weapons and what they brought in to replace them didn't work.

Sanu looked very average. Pats fans I saw would prefer Sanders....me too.

Everyone saying Brady doesn't have any receivers. They drafted one in the first round and traded a 2nd rounder for Sanu. If they couldn't find a way to get them involved, that's heir problem
But but McDaniels is so good!

It was strange, they couldn't scheme anyone open. Harry White Edelman Sanu Michel can all catch the ball. But it just didn't seem like they pulled out the right concepts to open up a slightly better than average defense. Not a lot of touch and nuance in the pitch and catch between brady and his targets, it seemed like.

They just seemed like their batteries were flat today. BB seemed so depressed in the press conference afterward. Some one should give him some meds.
