SUMMARY: A one-year starter at Alabama, Jones was a prolific passer in former offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian's spread scheme. After backing up Tagovailoa in 2019, Jones won the starting job in 2020 and led Alabama to the national championship. He set a new NCAA single-season record for completion percentage (77.4%) and became the first player in school history to reach 4,500 passing yards in a season. Jones is an especially challenging evaluation because he played in a nearperfect situation in Tuscaloosa with an elite offensive line, running game, pass-catchers and play-calling, which makes it tough to evaluate him independent of his surroundings. However, he still had to make the reads and the throws and he displayed advanced-level poise and anticipation. Overall, Jones doesn't have elite level mobility or arm strength, but he is good-enough in those areas and he is poised, hyper competitive and doesn't make mistakes. He projects as a high-floor NFL starter.
GRADE: 1st-2nd Round (No. 25 overall)

25th. Awesome. Nice that we gave up 2 additional firsts. Horrible trade.

Look, this dude wins a Super Bowl all of this noise about him sucking, being a product of the system at Bama, unathletic, etc., etc., goes the f**k away. Same for Fields if it is him.

It's pot meet kettle for both sides, they are both guilty of the same thing.

I mean no. But nice try.
I mean it's very clear by reading this thread, the Fields thread and the #3 overall thread in NT if we are being honest. Both sides s**t on the guy they don't like and prop their guy up.

People s**t on Mac Jones because the 49ers might draft a QB that isn't a top 10 talent at #3. People s**t on Justin Fields because they believe Mac Jones will be the QB. It's not the same thing.

What constitutes top 10 talent? What's the criteria?

It is the same, it's a constant battle of s**t on the guy you don't want and prop up the guy you do want.

You just want it to be that way. But its not. Just going to have to deal with it.
