That just shows how much people are invested in the picks they like. It's so strong that great plays by players they don't want are minimized or even called turnover-worthy. For example, this one. I've wavered back and forth on these three, but time and time again I keep coming back to Fields and that absolutely elite arm talent.

I think it comes down to whether you have seen the coaches tape of Mac and Fields or not. It's almost impossible to get your hands on at the college level for some reason, but that tape apparently shows why Simms, Grant and everyone else has fields so low. I haven't seen it and will be happy with anyone but lance, but apparently fields too often moves off reads too quick, then doesn't move off reads fast enough, and doesn't see open receivers and takes off running...

I haven't seen the tape this is just how it was explained too me but most of these media are idiots... Bucky Brooks talking bs when he got the most embarrassing past qb rankings of all...

Simms past ranking are stellar, I will say that. I think it's because shanny taught him how to scout qb's over the years. I have the first 2 picks in my sf dynasty league and o man getting fields on my favorite team would be awesome. But if Kyle wants Mac, then I want Mac. I just want Kyle to get who he wants...

People forget the fan base wanted Jed's head when Kyle and John came in... The team is in fabolous shape, the fans love Jed again and they were in the superbowl a year ago...

Kyle and John can do whatever the f they want and some baby bish trolling niner fans ain't gonna do ish about it..

I hope we draft Mac so all these pre maddonas will leave the fan base for other teams

Fields has some trouble recognizing blitzes and seeing the open guy. That's not uncontroversial among people who actually know what they're talking about (and prove it with the aforementioned All 22 film you speak of). But he also has INSANE arm talent and physical abilities. You draft him because you believe you can coach him up enough on his weaknesses that they aren't massive problems, and allow his talents to shine through.

EDIT - who promised to stop being a 49er fan if they draft Jones? I saw people say they'd disappear until the regular season, but that's not the same thing. I left all 49ers message boards for more than a year after the 2012-13 Super Bowl (due to depression). But I was still a 49er fan.

One problem. No one is tearing down Jones because they just happen to like Fields more. If anything most would prefer Wilson.
