I hope we draft this dude, not because its who I want, but because when he does great in this system and brings us some SuperBowl wins I wanna smile and nod at all of the diva posters here who are gonna pretend that they loved him all along and will forget how they acted in April of 2021.
I don't care who we pick as long as its the right guy. I'm hoping the right guy is Zach Wilson though.

Who is that? Tim Rattay?
Home boy needs to mix in a leg day......or actually any day at the gym at this point would be nice.

Maybe we keep Jimmy around as Mac's personal trainer.

I mean it's very clear by reading this thread, the Fields thread and the #3 overall thread in NT if we are being honest. Both sides s**t on the guy they don't like and prop their guy up.
People s**t on Mac Jones because the 49ers might draft a QB that isn't a top 10 talent at #3. People s**t on Justin Fields because they believe Mac Jones will be the QB. It's not the same thing.
It is the same, it's a constant battle of s**t on the guy you don't want and prop up the guy you do want.
You just want it to be that way. But its not. Just going to have to deal with it.
Oh right, when one s**ts on Mac it's OK but when one s**ts on Fields it's not.
So to you these two statements are the same:
Mac Jones does not possess elite arm talent
Justin Fields threw an interception and will do it again
I don't think you can say that Mac Jones doesn't possess elite arm talent. I agree that Mac Jones doesn't possess elite arm strength. I think there's more to "arm talent" then simply raw arm strength. Arm talent is also accuracy, release, touch, the ability to make different types of throws (ie throwing a rainbow vs. a rope), the ability to throw on the run or off-platform, etc.
Some guys who were successful who didn't have elite arm strength:
* Drew Brees
* Peyton Manning
* Tom Brady
* Matt Ryan
* Joe Montana
* Andrew Luck
* Tony Romo
* Philip Rivers

What part? Blaine Gabbert was 2 inches taller and almost 20 lbs heavier than Mac. As an athlete, Gabbert was on a completely different level than Jones. Gabbert had elite explosiveness for a QB(120" broad) and ran a 4.61 40. The dude could scoot.
As throwers, again, they're nothing alike. Gabbert had a cannon(Jones has an average arm) but was inaccurate even in a gimmick-spread offense at the time. He had terrible pocket presence(one of Mac's greatest strengths) and didn't process the field very well(again, one of Mac's strengths).
Not sure where you're seeing Blaine Gabbert.
