There are no good NFL defenses anymore. It's an offense league, and like the NBA the rules are too slanted to help offense, so the last five minutes are totally dependent on offenses executing or not. What the defense does really doesn't matter. With the combo of offensive holding on passing plays being "removed" from the rule book and defensive penalties like PI, roughing the passer and hits on defenseless players, the only offenses that don't score at the end of games are those that make their own mistakes.

BS. His play calling is terrible late in the game and with a lead.

Saleh had his share of bumps along the way as he grew into a good DC. Ryan's is just starting out and will also experience bumps and bruises.

It is fairly normal for a first time coordinator to have ups and downs.

for better or worse, he'll be given three years just like Saleh. We're starting a rookie DC in a Superbowl window, but people are too afraid to start a rookie QB as well.

never bought in to saleh. not creative and stuck with the same formulas all the time.

our d is undisciplined can't tackle and cant read the run. teams will beat us just like green bay, run it down our throats.

Am I the only one tired of relying on defense to win games? Green Bay's D was suspect at best going into tonight. But shutting down our run game and forcing Jimmy to beat ANY team is a recipe for success.

Getting upset with this soft a$$ defense with 00:37 to go and no timeouts for GB.
This one is on Ryans
