I guess we'll have a Mini Debo. This dude can be utilized just like him.

I hope you are right
I like Jakeem Grant too, he reminds me of Tyreek Hill but he's never been able to make an impact as a WR for whatever reason. Hopefully Ray Ray can provide us with a shifty slot as well as a Pro Bowl PR/KR.
You guys aren't allowed to have a small preference for another player. That's sacrilegious in NT!
The difference is, I am willing to post reasons why I think Grant is better and cheaper, I am not falling back on other peoples ratings or opinions or my pre free agency predictions?
BTW, now that we spent $5M/yr on a return guy. You still like Reed over Ward?
That's your rationale?
No, Reed is still a far better value overall.
But we need to see how this dude is used because if he is a value add to the offense, that makes this an even better signing.

I agree, IF……..he can do what Kyle wanted Trent Taylor to do, then I can see how he is more valuable than Grant. I was hoping Grant could also be the Gabriel role as well, but after 6 seasons in the NFL, you figure he would have caught a deep pass or 2 if that was part of his skill set.

"He's earned it," head coach Dabo Swinney said, per the Greenville News. "It's not like he hasn't practiced. He's worked at it. He's demonstrated his confidence to us in practice. It was a situation of need and we just felt like we needed a veteran guy who kind of knows the situation."
Nice. He's our new starting slot CB too.
Yes he'll be ready to go in a pinch

McCloud's a dual threat...as a returner, for sure, but also as a pass-catcher who can be used in jet sweeps and take some of the pounding away from Deebo. He's the first legit returner we've had in too long. I'm sure Coach already has plans on how to use Ray-Ray. I'm excited about him and what he can bring.

Did they? Their left tackle retired, they are hoping the guy who replaces him will play just as well. They lost Von Miller, they lost a starting guard, they lost one of their starting CB's as well as one of their starting LBs, they added Robinson but does that offset the guys they lost?
This fan base is so negative. In their eyes everyone got better but us. I could argue we are the most improved in our division. The rams lost a bunch of guy, but they won the superbowl so good for them. The Cardinals have a diva at qb, and the midget is gone from Seattle.
Bro i learned a long time ago u cannot please some of these fans. They will turn almost anything into a negative and always find the stats that make our signings look like trash. It's sad but one theory I have is Grant Cohn's emergence on YouTube and social media. He was always a troll and always there but now he's finally got a large Audience of people who look to him on how to feel about a signing. They regurgitate everything he says and follow him like he's a revolutionist.

I hear ya! Either way, I'm glad we got both so far.

I agree that Deebo needs to be taking less hits, and Ray Ray should help out with that. Now Deebo should not be on P or K returns, Deebo also should not be given any WR sweeps having a speedier guy like Ray Ray as a better option. Ray Ray can easily be worth his contract being our PR/KR while also seeing the field as one of our top 4 WR's. Deebo needs to not play PR/KR anymore, and not take any hand offs either. Utilize Deebo as WR only and try to keep him healthy as he is still a game changer in that role alone.

I believe he was sub 7 seconds. 6.89 so he's quick and shifty. People can be skeptical about the signing but the truth of the matter is he dramatically improve our return game. That's worth the money

Pitt fans don't have anything amazing to say about this dude…and I agree. Nothing special and no different then having a Richie James type guy.

I'm just hoping he can be secure with the ball and pitch in with some slot WR play. My biggest concern is him muffing a punt in a key situation.

Yeah I just don't see anything from him to say yeah there's something lol. Could have drafted a dude to be a WR4 returner on day 3.
this FA overall has been junk. Ward signing was good but everything else is super underwhelming and losses of laken and DJ on top of it.

and I do not just buy the theory that jimmy is holding the team back from signing people. they said it was their goal to surround trey with great talent. we have gotten worse aside from the ward thing
