IIt's a dumb incidental play that probably happened 25 times throughout the game and didn't get called. But here they call it with 2 minutes left. Terrible decision making terrible officiating s***** football. And they need to start changing the rules so people can actually play defense again.

lol

CBs get away with MURDER today compared to the late 70s early 80s.

Going back to what it USE to be would mean if you made contact with the WRs arms down field while the ball is in the air you are getting flagged...

Today they give the CB an equal shot at the ball and ignore the contact.

That play BTW would have been flagged in any era....you can't hold someone, it is against the rules and will be flagged.

Even if the refs didn't call holding on that last drive, Eggles still only had a minute and a half to drive down the field with no TOs.

Would have been a much more exciting finish than Hurts noodle arming a hail mary.

That was a noodle throw for sure lol

I believe he stepped on an offensive lineman's foot right as he threw the ball.

With that said, they needed something like 80yds.

At least they didn't put Boston Scott at center and try whatever Dallas tried.

Well....

Dallas did at least have a catch.......

Hurts missed everyone......
Great ending to an undeserving team
I didn't watch the game but watched 4th quarter highlights later. I didn't wanna see Eagles win after what happened in the NFC Championship Game. I didn't wanna see the green confetti everywhere, would have been salt in the wound. Sometimes I have said Mahomes is overrated but I gotta give him props, bum ankle and still wins it. You could tell he was in pain here and there. Has some grit. I wonder how we would have done against KC. Guess we will never know. I felt that Eagles didn't deserve to win this. I feel a little better lol.

The Eagles lost this game for two reasons:

The Eagles defense consistently bit on the motions that the Chiefs were running. That's why those Chiefs players were so wide-open on those two TDs.

Hurts fumbling the ball for a KC score.

I'm so glad we lost to the Eagles, I couldn't stomach losing to the Chiefs again. Let's be honest, the Chiefs would have killed us.

The Chiefs would have beat us. Losing the NFC Championship is kind of better than losing another Super Bowl to the Chiefs. We didn't even lose. We got injured and had no chance.

I disagree. This team was playing phenomenal

Exactly.

Didn't we have something like 9 starters out on defense in our meeting this year?

They didn't face the 49ers team that won 12 games.

I also disagree. It would have been a good match up. I am not glad we lost to the Eagles. It would have been so awesome to see Brock beat Mahomes, I believe it could have happened! And our D could have put up quite the fight. I think it would have been the game of all games maybe. Just wish we would have gotten a shot.

Hurts fumbling the ball at the endzone. Not converting that TD was brutal.

they flat out abused the Eagles coverage....

I suppose they coverage was suppose to switch based on alignment and that man in motion stopping and releasing back outside broke the coverage twice.

To get the once....yeah...props to the offense

For the defense not to correct that issue the next time in the red zone...lol.....that should get someone fired.

It might not have been the same exact play ran to the other side, but it was the same exact concept.... To get that wide open in the redzone twice in the Super Bowl is crazy bad. Fundamentally bad.

Teams will beat that like a drum next season, they have to fix it.

This game straight up vindicated what the 49ers players were saying. The Eagles defense is good, but they have weaknesses.

Quick passes and motion plays can negate their pass rush, and Kansas City executed that to perfection, which is a major reason why they won the game.

Our game against them end the second Brock's elbow got shredded. Everything after that point was irreverent.

You can't execute quick passes and motion plays if your QB can't throw. All the Eagles had to do for the rest of the game was just play to stop the run (and yes, I'm aware Johnson was in the game pre-concussion, he just sucks so it's not like anything would have been different).

Maybe if we tried more quick passes his elbow wouldn't have been shredded

Seriously? He threw like 2 passes at the time his elbow was shredded.

The play that Brock got hurt on, Aiyuk was open.

We've had success running that play in the past, this time, it didn't work.

Brock's injury was 100% a fluke. Reddick's arm hits him anywhere else or a split second sooner or later, it's not an injury.

That's something you can't control

That part too. The play was there to be made.

we got no QB

I think that is the point he is making

Chiefs would murder a no QB 49ers team.

Assuming Purdy is 100% healthy, I agree with you.... I think we had a real shot, the team was rolling along nicely.
