IIt was a trifling infraction that should have been ignored. It would have been legal to Chuck him to the ground at that point of the field. The play was obviously out of character for the game and I wouldn't be surprised if you could look back and see five or six different instances are very similar trifling infractions that weren't called. It was just a bad moment and nobody should try to make it seem like it improved the game experience.

I didn't see that route all game so I doubt it. You are far more likely to get called when you hold when you're out of position based on their sudden change of direction, which was the case here.

Yikes. And the Eagles hired Vic Fangio as a consultant for 2 weeks to help their defense prepare for the Chiefs. He would have earned a ring had they won. LMAO.

It's crazy

Andy Reid is a f**king madman. Remember how he clowned Bosa over and over during their shellacking of us in the reg season?

Lebron is talking about the hand on the back. Olsen is talking about Bradberry's "right hand". Neither of those were the holding penalty that caused the referee to throw the flag.

I'm absolutely convinced you haven't even seen the hold that the rest of us have, and that the officials plainly saw, and that's why your descriptions of what happened are so off-base.
One other call that could have been controversial if ther Eagles had won. There was a play where the receiver appeared to catch to ball and was hit and he fumbled. It would have been another scoop and score if it hadn't been overturned based on that slow motion football move rule. It looked like a catch and fumble but according to the rules he didn't make a football move. He clearly had the ball secured and the defender knocked it out of his hands. This is a rule I've never really understood just like the completing the catch rule. When a ball carrier gets the ball over the goal line it's a TD even if the ball is slapped out of his hand immediately after. When a receiver catches the ball, he has to maintain possession all the way to the ground even if he clearly had it when he was in the end zone. If he juggles it when he falls out of the end zone they waive it off. Seems like a double standard.

The bottom line is that the Eagles couldn't close the deal just as we could not when we played the Chiefs. The way the NFL is today you need a Super QB to get to the Big Game. Then you come up against Brady or Mahomes and then onto the next year after they beat you. Lance and Purdy don't strike me as top of the line Quarterbacks. What will Shanahan do?

There isn't much Shanahan can do. Super QBs don't grow on trees. He tried to draft a high level talent (supposedly Lance) and he doesn't seem to be panning out like one. He is pretty much back to square one with Jimmy/Purdy level type QB who he can win with. Besides, he has to fix the O-line and D-line and we don't have much cap space left neither. He will just have to ride with Lance and Purdy hoping Purdy's elbow will be good to go.

What did I say in my long post? Shanahan refused to draft Mahomes and there are consequences when you get such key decisions wrong. If he had listened to Lynch, we probably would have won at least 1 if not 2 more Super Bowls by now.

They should have listened to me too (dang yeah I was Glory at the time). Oh I picked us up Aaron Jones while I was at it too.

Don't mean to gloat. I'm sure a ton of 49er fans were hoping for Mahomes at #2 or #3 as well. I swear to you I was like a little kid waiting for an Xbox to appear under the Christmas tree and then when they announced Soloman it felt like I opened a box of sweaters. So disappointed and angry at the 49er's stupidity. Then again would Shanny have developed Mahomes as Reid did? That's the big question. But what drew me to Mahomes was Shanny's description of his perfect QB. Mahomes hit every mark.

I don't think that many 9ers fans were expecting Shanahan to take Mahomes because there were so much talk about Solomon Thomas with the Stanford link with Lynch, etc.

Either way, they had one last opportunity with Mahomes when Lynch called back from Mahomes' pro day saying the kid could throw and perhaps they should change their original plan. Well, Shanahan said no and the rest is history and as 9ers fans we might have to live with Shanahan's mistake. I am just lucky to be old enough to have seen the 9ers win some amazing Super Bowls. Right now, if I have to be honest, I don't think this 9ers team can win a Super Bowl. This year, I think the 9ers was quite possibly the 3rd best team in the league. There is no shame in that, but we were certainly not good enough to win the Super Bowl. We weren't going to beat the Chiefs.

Looking ahead, I think it will be tough too. If most Super Bowls end up having 2 high level QBs duking it out, it could be an uphill battle for the 9ers.

He will be 36 next November though.

Javon Hargrave would look good in red and gold too.

Graham and Cox are probably a tad old.
Shannyhan tries that and he'll get called for illegal motion .

He was contemplating retirement prior to this Super Bowl. I imagine he would have retired if the Eagles won yesterday. Go out on top with 2 Super Bowl rings. Glad that didn't happen. Cry Eagles cry!

36 years old seems to be the perfect age for center for Kyle

The first one wasn't a whip route. There was no sudden reversal of direction. Try again.

What if you catch it solidly, plant your feet and twist your waist like Chubby Checker to juke the tackler? Would that be considered a football move?
