That seems fair. I know there are a lot of Zoners who will want to see us above the Saints on the sites because of our big win and their big loss, but my gut feeling still has a tough time putting us on their level. They've been proving it for a few years and Brees is obviously a difference-maker.

WTF? Niners at 11 and Ravens at 10? Lions and Bills 3 and 4? What is this guy smoking?
I had to scroll up so far from 32 that I couldn't find St. Louis. He has them at #22 after they went 0-5. He has the Chiefs below the Colts and St. Louis?

I guess there is no respect for up beating Philly and Detroit in their home, and having the most lop sided victory in the NFL vs the Bucs

I don't think we're elite at all. The teams that have been doing it for years have proven it. We have to prove it year in year out to be in the same list. These rankings are just based on our record. Even Broncos went on a streak 2 years ago. Look at where they are now. But, we have many positions set to be a solid team for quite a few years now.

This is why my gut thinks we should be #5. Packers, Patriots, Saints, and Ravens. But I legit think we will win 12 or 13 games so top 5 is definitely fair, even though we're barely starting to "prove it" after years of suckage.

It's rankings by some amateur writer or a fan. You expect ridiculous crap like that from these people.

I would still have a team like the saints ahead of us, despite them having two losses.

At the same time, they are actually the kind of team I could see us beating. Our defense is good enough to neutralize high scoring teams, and their defense is soft enough for us to run all over.

That's just plain inconsistent. If he was uniformly skeptical about "surprise" teams that would be one thing, but if you are buying the Bills and Lions you have to buy the Niners.

Interesting. I haven't thought much about the Chargers.

The saints are not as good as we are. We would give them real trouble if we faced off with them. They would not be able to stop our running game or our pass rush.
