I love this thread!!
So awesome how vigorous the Jed defenders are here. I see multiple posters bashing Jed, but just a few stalwarts defending him. Good for the few that are defending our embattled and beloved owner Jed York. This guy has a vision that obviously no one can comprehend or else we would all be on board.
Has he made a few gaffes? Sure who hasn't?
This owner is a true fan, he is one of us, he is using what he has learned in the many years of being around the 49ers to turn us from a decrepit 8-8 franchise that was on the precipice of becoming another Jacksonville, to where we are today. A team that will rely on its core strengths as opposed to the previous mismanagement and mishandling of players, schemes, locker rooms, manners, and well just about everything. Sure we may have won, but a what price? Gracelessness, and inelegance was the price we paid for victories. As an owner and a human being of high caliber I can see why Jed would not let that stand.
Now we we will win with class, and not just win playoff games and go to championships, but win Superbowls.

Jed York = A liar, manipulator, and a POS.
I haven't seen any of this Jed-sucking - not sure what AB is saying here. Most of what I see are fans holding their breath until they turn blue and stamping their feet.

I just have one question for the anti York fans. Did any of you really expect things to get better if harbaw had stayed here yet another yr? Because the way I looked at it we fell off a cliff by midseason 2013, and 2014 was just an exclamation point on that failure. The anti jed guys , I guess, seem to think harbaw was going to turn on a dime, and miraculously learn NFL Offense? Or get rid of the worst of NFL OCs ever...who knew very little if any O, or at least that is what he showed us on game day. Why, why would one think the miseries of this team were getting better this yr if harbaw stayed. He did NOTHING to improve his or his OCs knowledge of the O and would not even consider a different OC. To me that spelled disaster, and if he stayed we were looking down the barrel of a 3-13 season. Who wanted that? Yet harbaw did zippo to improve a feckless , gutless O, and NEVER managed to change things up at the half. I honestly think he thot our talent could beat their talent, without any helpful coaching or game calling skills. Well...he was wrong, and now resides in Michigan. I hope for Michigan's sake, he figures out how to get someone across the goal line when starting from the 5 yd line in 4 tries. He failed at that here.
Oh, and NC, that advice you gave to the sportswriters was one for the ages. We should pin it.

You won't get a rationale argument to that question. I am finding that many of these one-line fans were fine with the firing...they just hate Jed b/c he was handed the franchise and raised with a silver spoon...like his uncle...some guy named Eddie?

Actually things would have gotten better under Harbaugh. You know why I think things would have gotten better is because things have been better under him like when he was winning and going to the playoffs and winning playoff games and championship games.
As far as you talking about fixing the offense that would actually made some sense had they hired a good offensive head coach, or a good proven offensive OC but no they hired one the man who was responsible for that terrible offense you talk about. They hired the man that was in charge redzone play calling, you remember all those FGs we kicked. Yah they hired that guy for OC and a Dline coach for HC but at least they didnt have to pay the top rate.

Pretty sure someone using childish names like "Harbaw" won't get very many serious replies. If he wants to have a serious discussion he will have to get serious first.

Eddie let the football people and Camen Policy run things for the most part-Jed wants to be out front. that is not healthy for the team IMO.........

They fell off a cliff and barely lost the NFC Championship game?
The one period of success under the Yorks came with Harbaugh leading the team and Jed decided to change direction. I know what Harbaugh is capable of getting out of a team, I am lot sure about Tomsula but we will find out pretty quickly. I am not sure what Jed brings to the table, he doesn't seem to get much praise from many in the national media.
All I can do is hope for the best. If this works out and the 49ers go to multiple NFC Championship games over the next four years, he will deserve a lot of praise.
