Every once in awhile I wonder if Young2 wasn't really 2young, or you could write that as TOO Young. Possible. I do know this: across the bay, the continuation of Old Al has given Oakland fans nothing to cheer about for years. Just be glad Jed isn't Al jr. Then, then, you would be able to bithc all you wanted...legitimately.

The stadium is awesome. Not only does it look awesome but there is sooooo much to do there during the football game, hang out in all the sweet bars and isn't there some kind of cool club there? And all the tvs!!! You don't even need to be in your seat to watch the game. Brilliant.

Its also way better that it is in Santa Clara too. I mean lets face it San Francisco lost its allure years ago, silicon valley is where its at, and a majority the 49er fans are in the south bay anyway, so it is easier for them to get there, way better!

Also when you drive the 42 miles from SF to the stadium you get to drive by Brisbane, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, San Mateo, Belmont, San Carlos, Redwood City, Atherton. Menlo Park, Palo Alto and East Palo Alto, Mountain View, and a little bit of Sunnyvale, and then bammo your in Santa Clara, just like that.

And that green space on top is environmentally friendly so there's that too.

Jed nailed it by building that stadium and bringing the San Francisco 49ers to sunny Santa Clara.

Lol
I'm really starting to dislike Jed York. He's a media whore. Always talking out the side of his neck. It's all about him and that's a recipe for disaster. The dog that barks the most, is usually the weakest.

Scary you think like that to fit your agenda. Therefore, I suggest you review other owners and owner responsibilities and compare. There are only so many things an owner (oh the irony) can contribute to a team, no matter how much you try to minimize these "accomplishments."

When was the last time a state-of-the-art NFL stadium was built in California? Everyone who understands how things work knows that it was a huge accomplishment to get one built.

It's too bad it was built with techies in mind and not football fans.

seriously, look at all these non football fans

thanks Jed.
What game was that

Niners vs Seahawks, this was the "VIP section"

thanks Jed.

Lively bunch. Which one had the weed?

Obviously, the shady looking one on the left in the striped coat and sun glasses. She's got 'dealer' written all over her.

hahahahaha

Looks like a bunch of pussies at an art convention instead of fans at a football game
Please Jed, stop talking about winning with class. NFL is just about winning, and if we try to win with class, we will end up losing with class. I would rather win.

When did he speak last? And this week is the owners meeting. I've heard from every owner coach and GM on NFLN

The place might as well be an art convention. That's what happens when you price out real fans and the only people that can afford to go to games are a bunch of Jed's pals and Silicon Valley yuppies.

Nothing says football atmosphere like swanky clubs serving wine and shrimp rolls and a half empty stadium before the 4th quarter.

Can you tell give me a list of owners who have accomplished more in a shorter time than Jed (no matter what your level of disdain is)?

1. Got rid of McDrunk
2. Elevated Baalke - questioned by many at the time b/c he wasn't a known "name"
3. Coaxed Harbaugh to come here over Miami and several other teams interested
4. Highest paid coaching staff in the NFL including 14 offensive coaches and a secret consultant for Roman
5. Secured and got a new stadium built in CA which is damn near impossible (you should hear the media storm in San Diego right now...the Santa Clara stadium model is the MODEL not only for teams trying to build and stay in CA but for the entire NFL)
6. Secured Superbowl 50
7. Saw a serious problem with our HC "on the field" like we all did. Went with the "football guy" in trusting his GM, Trent Baalke, and even hired additional FO help in Tom Gamble
8. Hired Paraag Marathe who continues to be a front runner in contract designs/terms and helps lead an analytics team in identifying productive players (see our history with late-round-draft signings and UDFA's and late-wave FA's)

Made some mistakes (like us):
1. Hired Nolan/Singletary out of emotion
2. Used key phrases from the 80-90's era that are now being used against him for making such a sensitive "move" to part with a popular coach (i.e. be as quiet as you can)

At the end of the day, he's still very young, has made his share of mistakes, was forced into making an unpopular decision, but in terms of producing what an owner CAN have control of, he's done a tremendous job and has already accomplished more than most long-term owners accomplish their entire careers. Like the "silver spoon" or not, you shouldn't diminish his accomplishments thus far.

Some good points, I don't agree with all of them but good points none the less.
The Silver Spoon thing doesn't bother me, it is not his fault.
