Some of the complaints about Jed I don't get. Ok, your mad he got rid of the "genius 2" I get it but he did hire him in the first place. He got us a new stadium built when nobody not even uncle Eddie could. Everybody wanted a new stadium and it's beautiful but people just can't stop complaining. It's not in SF, it's to hot, their isn't enough room to tailgate, there are no real fans, etc. The only problem with the stadium is they didn't win last year and as much as some of you want to blame him that wasn't Jed's fault. People complained about the Giants stadium when it first opened too. It's a joke!!!! Now 15 years and 3 titles later nobody complains and it's one of the loudest stadiums in MLB.

I get the frustration with Harbaugh but Jed isn't cheap and his firing wasn't about money. Jed isn't his father he wants to win and the Niners will be right up against the cap AGAIN this year after the season starts. It's not like we don't spend money on talent. I don't agree with everything he does but to say he's cheap sounds like you are just repeating things said by the clueless Bay Area media. Is Jed a spoiled kid who got a football team handed to him? He might be but so what!!! He doesn't meddle with the game planning on game days or tell his coaches how to coach their players. He has given his opinion when he's interviewed and there is nothing wrong with that but people want to run with that and say he meddles.

I don't know if Tomsula will work or not but if he doesn't Jed will fire him and go after someone else. It's not about having a yes man it's about having someone you can commmunicate with. As an owner I don't think that's to much to ask and although I loved Harbaugh he didn't win a Super Bowl and should have beaten his brother. The Niners were the better team. Jed is way better than his father and isn't perfect and I'm sure will make more mistakes but he has done a lot of positive things for our team that people don't seem to want to given him any credit for. You want to treat him like the second coming of Dan Snyder and say he's a horrible owner go ahead your entitled to your opinions. I just wanted to give mine and hit people with a dose of reality.

He was smart for hiriing Harbaugh, except that it seems like he used the hiring to bolster the stadium, he got mad expensive PSLs sold, and then canned his HC after 1 season. Also if he truly believed Tomsula was the right HC then why not hire him in 2011 when he was interim HC? And waste 4 years on who everyone now sees as a failure, which I disagree with, he got us to 3 NFC Title games, a SB, yeah he lost it, but 1. We got screwed over IMO, too many non calls, and 2. As always Kap locked onto Crabs, and never looked elsewhere, especially with such a dangerous TE in Vernon Davis.

I give Jed a lot of s**t, but he has made mistakes, no he isn't worse than his father, but he's damn close, to me anyway. You don't fire a HC after a 8-8 season, when he won 49 games. And then have a sham of an interview process to find a new HC, when he knew he was going to hire Tomsula the whole time. It's not a secret that a lot of NFL execs see the Tomsula hiring as a 1 and done hiring, and that's the reason why so many coaches turned down chances to interview here.

I hope this season turns out good, I don't see a playoff spot, or SB appearance. I don't see us going to Seattle or Arizona and beating those 2 teams. Even STL is vastly improved. I see us at 3rd best in West right now. But again that's my opinion, not saying anyone is wrong, no one really knows yet, true I've written off this season, but not just because of Tomsula and Jed, look at it, we've lost Gore, Willis, Borland, Ray Mac, Cox, Cully, Skuta, possibly JSmith, and signed some players for way way too much money, guys like Erik Pears and Shareece Wright were average at best last year for Buffao and San Diego. I loved the Smith signing, but it was a lot of money overall, but smart contract to get him for only $8.75M in guaranteed money. Hopefully Kap improves, I've said it and I stand by it, he has 1-2 years max IMO to improve before the 49ers will move on and release him, why? Because he has such a team friendly contract, that it makes cutting him easy.
Yeah, I think Jed, the owner, gets lumped into the rest of the FO re: "football." As an owner, he's already accomplished more than 85% of the owners during their entire tenure and he's still very young. Mistakes? Sure, regarding PR but he's going to learn from that (esp. with regards to KKFC). I measure an owner by what he actually has control over.

As far as football goes, given the amount of coin he shelled out for the most expensive coaching staff in the league including 15 offensive coaches AND a "secret consultant" to help Roman out this past off season, as an owner, I'd expect better offensively too. Didn't you as a fan after the Superbowl? In the end, Jed did what good owners do...he went with his GM over the HC and subsequently hired additional support for Baalke in Tom Gamble. Aside from the first interview with each HC candidate, he stayed the hell out of the process and let his GM do the work...as he should. Fans forget that letting Harbaugh and staff go was also an entire FO move...unlike Eddie D. who'd fire a HC b/c he "felt like it" after each and every loss on the field. And to me, that's the bottom line...clearly HaRoman were in over their heads, completely figured out, had no answers, had a significant downward trend, players were complaining, the opposition was mocking us, etc...in short, the production on the field did NOT match the resources put into it...no ROI.

I applaud any FO who has the balls to make a difficult decision. It was time. Everyone knew it. The players, the waterboy and even Baalke's daughter. Every fan in here knew it too...even if we did like Harbaugh for his past accomplishments. We as fans can wallow in the past...as 49er fans, that's what we do. But a FO has the respponsibility of assessing the team now and well into the future. They made a move and I can only that.

Personally, I'm excited about this new coaching staff, the continuity, the experience, Tomsula's infectious personality, the excitement within each 1on1 staff interview, the players (VD, Justin & Boldin), etc. And if the results on the field don't match the resources out into it, I'm excited about an ownership who at least, has the balls to make a move AFTER they've exhausted every option/solution.

As fans, that's all we can ask for.

I dont even really give him credit for hiring Harbs. I mean EVERYONE in the world knew he was the top candidate in YEARS and he was right in our backyard. Every owner in the league would have made that hire given the situation.

Jed is a huge improvement over John, but he has much to learn. That's OK, at 30 something he will be the owner for another 50 years or so...better get use to him!

No, it's a breed of pygmy goat. But they will drink miso!
At this point, it's easy for a lot of fans to blame York for everything and anything. But what's going to be amusing and entertaining to me will be watching people think of reasons why he's NOT responsible if they have success this year.

it's pretty apparent by the way things have shaken out the past 5 months that there wont be any success this year. At least not to the level that we have had the previous 4.
