He should have consulted fans of teams that have the best "Fan Experience" before building a stadium for The Fan Experience. GB fans or any NFL fan or anyone new to the NFL Game Day experience will tell you that the funnest part of going to a football game is the tailgating.

Yup. Tailgating has always been my favorite part. Clearly they didn't consult fans or all these fans currently trying to dump their season tix wouldn't be.

They duped the small city of Santa Clara into financing a billion dollar stadium for them and now they are flaking on their promises to the local community. Santa Clara isn't even going to get a Superbowl out of it. Everything minus the game itself is happening 40+ miles away in San Francisco.
What has Santa Clara gotten out of the deal? The city golf course is trashed, less soccer fields, less room for needed housing and office buldings that house good jobs.

What is so funny about my post?
$621 million of tax dollars for construction, $37 million to move an electrical station, a municipal agency on the hook for loan payments...

Get there early in the AM. Cook steak and eggs while watching the early games on your portble TV. Go watch the team warm-up close to the sideline. Go back to the lot to eat and drink more. Throw the football around. Go in and watch the game. Thwn wait out the rush to get out of the parking lot by cooking more steak and drink more beer, celebrate the win because the team was a dynasty. Those were the days.

Well that's what they get when they tried to screw them on the deal when that one rogue city councilman tried to blackmail them into paying more then they agreed on. Or was or was it withold the funding the city agreed upon?. Can't remember the exact details, but they seem to deserve each other. Bad karma meets worst karma.

Together with the NFL Experience – pro football's interactive theme park experience that will be held at the Moscone Center – Super Bowl City will be the hub of fan energy and excitement leading up to gameday at Levi's® Stadium in Santa Clara.
Centered in Justin Herman Plaza, on the Embarcadero at the foot of San Francisco's famed Market Street, Super Bowl City will feature family-friendly activities for fans of all ages. It will offer a fun – and free – way for locals and visitors alike to enjoy the extravaganza that is the sporting world's biggest annual event.

Where do I start? lol
First off, that golf course is trash. Most of the fairways are just dirt. It cost the city $12 million a year to keep that place open. That's right, it makes zero profit. Have you played that course recently? I have. It's garbage.
2nd, Santa Clara isn't really designed to host all of the super bowl events that comes with hosting. Some of them will be in SF, but some of the stuff is gonna be in San Jose. Like media day at the shark tank.
3rd, there won't be less soccer fields. The issue is replacing the current fields with new surfaces. That I agree is b******t, and they should live up to their agreement if they said they would do it.
4th, are you aware of what they're gonna build on top of that golf course? A huge Santana Row like complex with hotels, shopping, industrial complex, and I believe upscale housing. That would provide the city with thousands of jobs and they'd take in huge money each year from that area instead of having to dish out $12 million a year to keep open the dump of a course.
I'm no York defender, but your post was ridiculously inaccurate. And that's what was funny about it. lol

so the NFL Experience is more important than the Super Bowl? do you think that will draw more revenue/attention than the game itself?
