I don't think the team will bring him back but the 49ers were very courteous about how they handled his exit.
The team had reached a deal to trade Bowman but instead released him without compensation to allow him to pick his own team.
Coureous?...he asked to stay and they cut him.
They had an agreement with New Orleans on a trade. But Bowman didn't want to go there so they released him.
He did not want to accept his role and wanted off of the team. There was no working this out.

You say this as though Bowman wanted the mentor role. One of the reasons they parted ways was because he wasn't interested in doing that role. As Lynch basically said, once he had checked out and wanted to not be a part of the coach's plans it was time for both parties to move on and there was no going back.

That is the sad reality. I must say I was shocked by the move at first but I think Coach and GM explained it well and were very sincere. Which was a lot different to how our old GM would have gone about it.
Still I was sad to see Navorro go the way he did.

Yea. Its too bad things worked out that way. I wish he would have gotten injured and we ired him and give him another 12 months of rehab. He would still be with us.

So the 2013 NFCCG is on and the Bowman injury just happened. Seemingly the moment everything began to change for us. Watching that brought it all back. The year Bowman was robbed of the DPOY award as well as his fumble recovery in that game. Truly a great player who if he remained healthy, would be in HOF consideration (2011-2017).

I didn't know he was testing the waters in FA. Would love to have him back.

Have him back for Fosters suspension, and then cut him?

Confused why the raiders have so many holes in there roster.
Thought they were 11 win team a couple years ago and yes last year had a down season but, thought they were pretty solid.

We may not see much if any of Reuben Foster this season. Like we have been hearing, Niner's are preparing for life without Foster.

Yeah the game was being replayed just now as I watched again one of the worst football injuries I've ever seen. I forgot just how awfully brutal it was. Couldn't believe how far sideways his knee was bent and twisted, even a little backward as well. Just so unbelievably bad.

I remember saying to my self when he went down, as much as I wanted a 49er win I'd rather have Bo ok.
