Impossible to forget Bo.

who ?

Bo stating that he always wanted to be a raider makes the goodbye transition alot easier.

who?
Injury or not, Bow had the fast burnout I've ever seen.
Ok, why can't I write in the white space? Whatever, I guess I'll post in this block quote.

I was going to make a thread in FA asking about Bowman. I'm surprised he is not on a team yet. Did he really suck last year? I thought he was good in the run game at the very least.

I remember Gary Plummer came to our team in1994 when he was 34, and was a stud for 4 years. Willis and Bowman are still both younger than that. Not to mention us losing Borland and Aldon Smith due to stupidity. Is Foster next on the list of cursed 49er Lbs?

no, he didn't suck that bad, but he was no where near the player he was before. No team is going to pay him what he wants, not with the injuries he's already suffered. Dude was on his way to being one of the best, ever IMO. Sucks that he had to suffer that/those injuries.

Cohn was 100% correct during his spring articles. Poor guy was getting flamed by the entire 49ers fanbase for calling Bowman done.

His rapid decline was 100% because of the multi ligament knee injury. Otherwise he'd still be playing right now at a high level, there's no mystery.

And when he came back from that he snapped his Achilles. That's never good, let alone after complete knee reconstruction.

Damn you Eric Reid...
Bowman severely tainted his legacy in my eyes, by demanding to be traded/released. The 49ers paid and supported him through 2 years of rehabbing, and he got all pissed because we took him off the field on passing downs. The 49ers didn't seem to try very hard to retain him either, they knew he was done.
Bowman's sack of RW in the 1st just showed how fast he was sideline to sideline.

Did he demand a trade or instead tell Lynch he wanted to start? I recall the latter in interviews but it could be Lynch being diplomatic

First he got pissy about coming out on passing downs, then when it was evident that his temper tantrum had no effect on play time he spoke to Kyle and told him "If you're not going to play me you may as well trade me" or something along those lines, so they did. Then Bow was an ass about that even putting the nix on the 1st and better offer we had, though I forget which team it was.

I get it. You are a premiere stud athlete your entire life, making millions being arguably the best LB in the NFL and in the blink of an eye that is for all intents and purposes over. I can't imagine wrapping ones mind around that, but he had a long time to do so and apparently surrounded himself with people who weren't honest with him. He expected to be treated like Bow the best LB in the NFL when he was now Bow not good enough anymore, in reality.
