Very, very excited about Morris. Already a STs star as a rookie, but I hope his play at CB develops to the level where we don't need to use him on STs as much. If he can become a better corner, Perrish Cox becomes much more expendable.

Hoping for great things to come in the coming seasons for Morris. His play could save us a lot of money on the cap, especially if Brock is retained. I think the 49ers will draft a CB, try to retain Tarell Brown and Brock, and cut Rogers.

Brown, Culliver, Brock, and Morris could be the top 4 on the depth chart next season. They should be prepared because ACL recoveries are not exactly easy.

what was the scouting report on him coming out of college?
Darryl "Green" Morris

Maybe he can take over on KO and Punts?

He really has some jets for legs.

No way he hits the pylon in bounds.
Has Morris ever played punt returner? He is fast but don't know if he can catch. Right now he is doing a great job for us on special teams. Hopefully he can take Carlos Rogers' place and cover the slot receivers. But he looks to be a part of our secondary soon enough.

Not in the 4 yrs I saw him play in college. (TXST did use another CB as a PR for 2-3 years and he was pretty damn good.)
If he did in HS, I don't know. He ran track in HS but not sure if he played football. He is from San Antonio and I live in Austin. I just know he is part of an AAU national record holding 4x200 relay team. (if it still stands. It did as of his senior season at TXST). I don't think it would be a stretch to put him out there, though.

If I remember correctly, he did not. This was an away game that I couldn't make and saw it on TV. I think he got the ball on the pylon but was ruled out; even if the ball touched before his feet hit the ground. Damn impressive effort though.

I'm partial to "the Missile" myself.

Hope this kid keeps playing well on special teams. Maybe he can get some game time on defense during the season.

He scored here? Clearly, physics is optional according to Morris.

I hope Harbs uses him with some offensive experiences in the future... with the ball in his hands, Morris will take off!
How many guys have run a sub-4.3 at the combine? Not many! The guys may need some time to develop but speed, as Al Davis liked to point out, is not something you can coach.
