It's ignored year after year. The worst unit on the team. Barely any decent with Trent Williams and Aaron Banks. When they both went out injured you saw the result. An absolutely horrific offensive line. I can't believe some of you guys want to get rid of Aaron Banks. Because he is the #2 best offensive linemen and contributes to the only functional side we have. We need to build up this offensive line in the draft early and some free agents too.

Yeah, that left side was tier 1 for quite a stretch before the annual health issues kicked in.

That's part of the prob with our construction, we got all our eggs in the TW basket on OL, so it's one injury away from freefalling down the tiers at all times; without TW we avg under 20 ppg. Think about that for a sec, 2 MVP candidates with KS and under 20 ppg. That's pathetic.

Yup, OL are people too. Ha

I would be trying hard to keep that left side together. Then add potentially to it in the 1st and 2nd round of the draft on the right side. Plus some free agents. We need a much better offensive line overall. But letting Aaron Banks go may be a terrible mistake. Him and Trent Williams are the best we have. We see what it is without them. Just a complete disaster.

I don't know who's talking about letting Banks go but they need a

People are saying let him go in free agency. Because he's just a Guard and will cost too much money.

Ahhhhhh.
Well, this just sucks all around.

One of those offensive lineman that didn't return was left guard Aaron Banks, who suffered a toe injury. Shanahan said that it was the same foot that kept Banks out for two games. Banks confirmed that he re-aggravated his turf toe injury.

If Williams (groin) and Moore (concussion) cannot go next week against Washington, then Colton McKivitz will play left tackle and Spencer Burford will get the start at right tackle. Shanahan said that he's the next option.

I do think even at not full strength, we can win the next couple, and get a bye. So that's three weeks rest for those who need it.
So how do you schematically prevent turf toe? Or tweaking a groin making a tackle on a pick?

Kyle needs all this data for the future.

I like your faith.

You invest in some other OL so when one guy goes down it's not 17.5 ppg, which is worse than the Arizona Cardinals.

You give KS 2 MVP candidates, and one LT is out and we can't hit 20 points, our ppg goes to near last in the NFL, I think 27th

Stop tryna put worn bandaids on cuts, go out and get someone. Burford sucks and McKivitz should stay at RT.

What team is hitting 20 points with their LT out against Baltimore?

When the Eagles are without Lane Johnson they are terrible too.

The guy everyone wanted for the 9ers last draft got destroyed by the Raiders.

It's not just BAL, we couldn't get 20 in all the TW is out or hurt games

If Banks, Williams, and Moore can't play, I just don't envision Kyle rolling Burford out there as the starting RT. He was beaten on every snap. They'll likely bring Pryor back.

So what you are saying is that other trams like PHI also do a poor job with investing in OL depth behind Johnson,

Because we turned the ball over too much. That's not JUST because of the O line.

Brock was not his normal accurate self yesterday even with clean pockets.

Lions couldn't beat the freaking Bears with a couple injured OL.
