No I said an O line can't carry a QB playing like the Bengals O line did. Baltimore O line in 2000 wasn't even that good so that's not a real data point. One HOFer and some guys. Not all that dissimilar to 9ers actually.
Elite QB play is essential. An elite QB may or may not be. Elite O line play surely isn't as evidenced by last years Sb winner.

Just for fun, Dilfer's run doesn't look very different than Brady's first title run. Better in terms of production.

Neither of those team's won because of their offenses though, obviously. They just couldn't give the game away with turnovers.

With the rule changes nowadays I just don't see many SBs being won by defense first teams. 2019 9ers were basically the Ravens/Pats and we saw the result. It's not the way to go.

I want another dynasty. Need an elite QB for that. Not a Nick Foles getting hot for a 3 game stretch.

Mostly agree. I would probably just argue that they don't need to be elite and at least be consistently good. I also wouldn't put the 19 Niners on the level of those defenses (we had better offense), and I think we could have got away with it if we had played a lesser SB opponent (like the 2000 Ravens for example). There's always going to be some factor of luck.

There's more than one way to win. Always has been. Usually teams that can win in a variety of ways are teams that can get it done. Definitely think in today's game elite QB (and coach) is the easiest ticket to constant contention/potential dynasty. Just not easy to get one of them.

Give us the Eagles Oline and we would be unstoppable.

Shows how overrated Hurts is by playing behind that oline.

That'd be 5 starters.

What 5 starters at different positions would u give them to keep things even?

You mean 4 starters. No way we taking Mailata over Trent.

His OL was not as consistent and strong this year but this is another great example of how important the OL is in the formula. He went from an MVP candidate last year to an average QB in no time.

Hurts isn't struggling because of his OL play. He can't process the field. His OL gave him time against us and he couldn't complete the throws.

Teams have adjusted to their run game and the Eagles have no counter.

He had forever and a day in the pocket against us. I believe losing his OC had more to do with his drop in performance than his O line.

Just need to watch any video of a "SME" on QBs to see Jalen is struggling to read the field.

Jalen's struggles to read the field isn't anything new. Its been like that his entire career.

Not every QB has a great year. Mahomes isn't having great yer because his receivers are young and leading the league in drops. When a QB has a great year it usually means his receivers and O line all played well and stayed relatively healthy. A good running game doesn't hurt either. The difference between success and failure in the NFL is very thin.

Give them our 4 starters on our OL.
